I think anybody who spent time in Straight or KHK under the Virgil regime will find chapters seven and eight--Tough Love On Trial and Miller Time--very satisfying.

The religion of one age is the literary entertainment of the next.

Very! But it covers some WWASP programs, Steve Cartizano and the Roaches and the most detailed telling I've ever seen of the death of Aaron Bacon. And Maia is, first and foremost, a research geek. That's evident as well.

I heard tell that somebody took some nice photos of Virgil at trial. I'd love to have scans of those for the website. Anybody know who might have them?

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a little better; whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is the meaning of success.
--Ralph Waldo Emerson

Which trial?  I know he was supposed to have another hearing coming up but I'm not sure when that was.

The Lulu Courter case trial. Maia describes it in some detail in the book. Somebody else said they'd seen pics. Could be other pics. But if these do exist and the owner offers, I think I could put them to some good use.
