A letter received by ISAC:
"Dear Mr. Earnshaw,
The information you provided our office regarding the Ohio
Department of Alcohol and Addiction Services and Kids Helping Kids has been reviewed by our Intake Screening Committee. While we appreciate your concern, we regret to inform you that we will not be able to open an investigation of this matter.
Sincerely,
Thomas P. Charles
Inspector General"

Why not is there any further reason stated as to why they are not going to even do an investigation?
Do they not have the proper authroity to do an investigation?
What gives here?

Deprogammed, you ask good questions. We all feel frustrated when the government & bureaucracy that is supposed to put checks on bad things like child abuse in fact does the opposite and by ignoring or even abetting child abuse institutions ensures their continued existence. Someone is happy with the results of these institutions, whether that happiness is the money or power they get in exchange, or simply the pleasure of watching the scapegoated children get destroyed. The message of Straight and all the child abuse institutions is one of fear. Perhaps our siblings could describe it best, since, while they were not so much in the program, they were certainly terrorized by it, it served as a warning to them.
The fact is, government historically does not serve the people, it serves to maintain power structures. Government is useless. Kudos to ISAC for attempting to go through govt channels to deal with KHK, because the continuing scandal that is the Ohio govt is laid out plain as day.
It does no good to gnash our teeth. Whenever any true change is needed in society, it really takes the people standing up together and creating their own force.
My suggestion for those close to Cincinnati & Milford is to cultivate sympathy and support wherever you can. Talk to churches, irregardless of whether you are a religious person, the fact is that churches can be a powerful force for insisting upon change, as the civil rights movement shows. Granted they can also be a force for evil and have in fact aided and abetted child abuse and genocide. But if you find churches that are interested in social justice, go talk to them. You will also find allies for your cause among political groups, child advocate groups and so on. Again, start talking to them and show them how their ideals are really aligned with yours.
If you live in the Cincinnati area, invest a little bit of money in bumper stickers with a simple message about KHK, or in spray paint and templates for a simple design to get the message out there, make it visible and frequent. Glue& staple up flyers. Organize sit-ins of businesses and individuals that support KHK.

A lot of churches in this area have already bought into KHK's snow job...remember they have been cultivating this snow job for 23 years now in the cinti N. Ky area.....obviously you are not a native or have not thought it through thoroughly. They also have nought into the republican "drug war" agenda" ......I do not see churches as a way to regulate or bust khk for anything at all, sorry...disagreed.

It's for the children, silly one! How can you mess with that!? Step 1. We came to understand that the government is powerless over people's private use of drugs and that the War on Drugs was making the government's life unmanageable.

Finally! Someone's nailed it!
Also... I wish I saved this - I did a research paper for an economics class a few years ago - about the economics of drug legalization. You wouldn't BELIEVE the wealth of info out there that all but proves that a legalization of drugs would not result in increased usage of drugs.
Bottom line... those who choose to indulge now, will continue to do so, but legalizing the stuff will make obtaining it less perilous. The people that choose not to indulge now, won't start if it suddenly becomes legal tomorrow.
Damn damn damn ... all I saved are these stoooooopid tax returns! The idea of God is the sole wrong for which I cannot forgive mankind.
