Whitmore Academy has been notified by the State Licensing Agency it has 30 days to submit its application for licensing and to set up a review date by the Agency.
Will the owners, Mark and Sudweeks comply, or still stand by Mark Sudweeks's statement to the TRIBUNE that the Whitmore Academy is an "Academics ONLY Boarding School," and that the Sudweeks "are out of the teen help business?"
-
How will Ken Stettler view Mark Sudweeks's FELONG conviction in Canada for animal cruelty when processing this license application?
Better yet, how will Mr. Stettler view the pending criminal trial against Cheryl Sudweeks for child abuse/hazing, when considering these owners for licensing by his agency?
-
Wonder how many of the 14 students there are remaining at the Whitmore will be graduating at the November Graduation that's scheduled for November 18-20th?
Now that's an event to be watching now for sure!
-
Maybe all the kids will graduate, and the Suds will pass on the license process, huh?
-
Sure hope so!
-
The clock is ticking....
-
Applying for a license and being approved for a license are two diffent things!
-
What game does the Suds think they are playing? Hide and Seek...tweek and peek?

Great article!
Anyone know when the 30 days to respond to the licensing expires?
-
When's the next court date in the criminal trial scheduled?
-
It should be soon. We are waiting for the Court to set a pretrial date.
-
Maybe the owners are going to open a new school, somewhere else?
-
And where would that be? Not Canada, Mexico, or Utah that's for sure.
-
Or maybe on that property they bought just outside of town?
- A democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner.
- A republic is where the sheep get to pick which wolves vote on what to have for dinner.
- But in a constitutional republic, voting on dinner is strictly
forbidden.

That property outside of town: the Juab Planning Commission approved the building permit with "conditions." The Commission is aware that the State of Utah is requiring the Sudweeks to apply for licensing; and one "condition" of the permit is that all required licensing be current, up-to-date, and valid. This commission is also aware of the pending criminal trial.
-
Yeah, right, and Mel Sembler was 'aware' of the Senate imposed requirement for consent forms for experimental and potentially dangerous treatment. Didn't slow him down a bit. You think maybe the papers should be reminded that the Juab Planning Commission is aware of these conditions?
Here's freedom to him who would read;
Here's freedom to him who would write;
None ever feared that the truth should be heard,
But them that the truth would indict.

Well, Skyline Journey closed it's doors but the owners reportedly reopened with a new focus ... DISTANT DRUMS.
-
Kristen Stewart's article clearly mentions that Juab County issued a "conditional use permit," and she states that the officials "could not say whether the Sudweeks have abandoned that plan."
So it appears that the media is keenly interested in what is happening in this area.
Other people are following this closely too.
-
The court should set date for pretrial hearing this week! Utah surely does things slowing, don't they
-
It does not appear that the Sudweeks are interested in getting the Whitmore licensed. Wonder why?
-
If the gossip-mill is true, there are only 4 kids remaining at the Whitmore after the "Graduation" this past weekend. Seems the downsizing may indicate the Suds may be getting out of the teen help business afterall. One CAN hope this is true.
