I can see that there is no use trying to reason with some of you. We have turned the tide from questioning Anchor to questioning anyone or anything. I will continue to investigate/question those at Anchor, not for your sake but for the sake of those who are students there. I will not back off of what I think is right or what is right.
I see little point in continuing the discussions I have had with most of you as you are masters at turning things around. I don't have the time to harrange with you or try and change you. I did think at the beginning you were really searching for truth, but I really don't think so any longer. You would say the same about me, but that is not true. I tell you what I believe and will do, but you don't really care, it seems. You have your own agenda.
Goodbye, it has been good to know some of you and I think I am better because of it. At least I am aware of your concerns and I will have my eyes more open because of this. [ This Message was edited by: Pastor on 2005-10-19 19:09 ]

In other words, you can't answer a simple damned question. In between those words, I'm guessing you approve wholeheartedly of abusive practices; `cept you just don't view it as abuse.
Same as it ever was. Our nada who art in nada, nada be thy name. Thy kingdom nada, thy will be nada as it is in nada. Give us this nada our daily nada and nada us our nada as we nada our nadas and nada us into nada but deliver us from nada; pues nada. Hail nothing full of nothing, nothing is with thee.

If you can't handle the heat in the kitchen, how will you manage the inferno of hell?
Yes, same as it ever was....

Pastor, when it comes to the kind of work faith-based schools do, it isn't a question of doing it right, it's a question of not doing it WRONG.
Love, Patience, Understanding ... are the only tactics and techniques you should be using to help children reach their full potential in life.
Programs who rely upon corporal punishment as the answer to teaching kids respect for authority are creating a generation of youth trained to equate abuse with discipline.
Is that really the lesson you want kids to learn?

You're running off with nonsense arguements that we're manipulating and twisting shit if we're right but not correct (according to you). We establish the connection and now you have egg on your face and run off with your tail between your legs because youre not man enough to fess up to it.
Im with Deborah here. You cant take the heat of the kitchen, but can you take the fires of hell?
P.S. - sorry, but youre officially a PUSSY. You cant take this on a forum but the bullshit they do with kids in programs about having to admit your wrong are wayyyyy worse. We dont hold you down and humiliate you - hell, you can leave when you want. We also dont beat you up or 'restrain you' if you dont fess up either. So yeah, you cant take THIS, but you seem to think whats done to children thats a few times worse is ok... when theyre a kid and youre SUPPSED to be an adult?
YOU FAIL!

GOOD! Investigate. Question. But don't turn a blind eye in the name of your religion.

What you believe and what's true are two different things. I'm sure if I told you I didn't I told you that I didn't believe in your God, you'd have words for me, wouldn't you?
Goodbye, it has been good to know some of you and I think I am better because of it. At least I am aware of your concerns and I will have my eyes more open because of this.
Well, so there's a good chance that you have a good excuse not to follow up with this, then. I hope your eyes have been opened. Fare thee well, Pastor -- I hope you will keep all of this in mind the next time you advocate what could be a private prison disguised as "treatment".

Pastor, continue your research. Continue...persevere. I learned long ago that arguing with these close minded fornits junkies is not worth the time. I come back to this sight only to encourage those like you. Keep praying, especially for those that are stuck and lost here. This sight is good to point out the red flags if you can manage to wade thru all of the other junk. I reccomend this site to parents looking into WWASP programs only. I do believe there are some serious problems there. God Bless you and those you shepherd.

Just don't mention ALA, please!!!
 During almost fifteen centuries has the legal establishment of Christianity been on trial. What has been its fruits? More or less, in all places, pride and indolence in the clergy; ignorance and servility in the laity; in both, superstition, bigotry, and persecution.

Hey, why should anyone herd anyone else... what happened to thinking for themselves?
BTW - I dont do ANY drugs at all, and a lot of us dont either, so cut the junkie bullshit.
Furthermore, sometimes the truth isnt what you BELIEVE, and people who dont 'believe' arent 'nonbelievers' or 'closed minded' - sometimes its YOU.
In other words, stop clinging to religion to be able to be 'right' even when you're wrong, please. Don't laugh when you leave this courtroom, thinking you have beat the system because you have looked these things up yourself. We are going to get you down the road.

Brother Dennis McElwrath at Anchor Academy also worked at Mountain Park Baptist Academy, a really abusive facility. Perhaps PASTOR didn't want to answer any questions about this one for sure! Brother Dennis seems to have a LONG LONG history of working at abusive facilities.

All I have said in this entire forum is to not judge Anchor without facts and mere suspision or afiliation."
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
You know full and damn fucking well how hard it is to get actual INFORMATION out of a program because of the nature of how they operate.
No, Im not going to repeat it to you AGAIN, if you honestly cant figure it out enumerating it, AGAIN, would be a waste of my time.
Suspicion is enough to arrest a INDIVIDUAL or throw a kid into a program, but not enough to even critically look at a program itself? Lovely double standard Buddy!
Also, because nobody will investigate it, Id say to turn away from it. Youre saying if its a business that touts jesus they get a slap on the wrist? If not, then what?
Furthermore, Id say the facts from the mouth (well, keyboarding hands) of someone who went there do pretty good myself, wouldnt you?
Affiliation certainly matters with the industry when people operate just like the school they split off from or the network theyre connected to, and suspicion is plenty to go by when NOBODY WHOSE SUPPOSED TO INVESTAGE DOES THEIR FREAKING JOBS.
So, again, Pastor, youre just throwing up chaff becuase you cant admit youre wrong, or anchor is wrong. I tried to use your excuses on someone who is accused of selling or using drugs, and Id love to see your reaction to that. Probably "send the druggie away" or the "dealer to jail", right?Infidel: In New York, one who does not believe in the Christian religion; in Constantinople, one who does.
