I was just thinking about the money that our parents had to spend towards the bill for Straight. In my case I was court ordered, and my parents were deceased so I had to put a mortgage on the house that my parents left me.
I feel that the State ( NOT ME ) should have had to foot the bill since I was court ordered. I also want the $10,000 that I had to put up with intrest over the past 20 years.
I was cheated. I did not get what I was told I would get out of Straight ( False Advertisement) and I sure didn't stay drug free. Insanity in individuals is something rare - but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule.

Out of curiousity, what was Straight charging in those days? My dad will not tell me the exact amount for some reason but I'm pretty sure it wiped out college funds. He said it was very expensive.
I would agree that everyone should get a refund.
BTW, I think that is fucked up that you had to foot the bill.

Its one thing when parents willingly fork over that kind of cash for "help"...or should I say our destruction. But to force you (a kid) to pay for it is completely fucked. Not only were your court ordered against your will, you had to pay against your will. That's completely fucking outrageous. Sorry you got stuck with the bill. I dont blame you one bit for being pissed about that one.

I hate the fact that Straight got my family to blame me that my dad sold his business and took another job so that he could commute to open meetings on Mondays and Fridays. That and being blamed by my parents (and brothers) for all the $$$ they spent-----like I asked them to do it.

Pissed off would be an understatement. My family was never wealthy, but rather more the typical middle class family without lots of extras. So, I'm sure it took years to accummulate that money. Instead, Straight got their greedy hands on it. The money spent on straight could have easily paid for my college tuition. Not only was my college fund stolen, so was my part of brother's.
If the money was really need to be spent on medical treatment that was necessary and well worth the cost, or something like that, then it wouldnt be irritating. But to pay a ton of money just so Straight could terrorize me and fuck with my mind...well that's criminal if you ask me.

I think it would be a good video clip of a bunch of us survivors showing up at the DFAF seeing as they are the only Straight Incarnate to do this, and ask for our money back.
