Has a poll been conducted to see there is a higher incidence or prevalence of depression among people who were in Straight or the Seed as compared to people of the same age who were never in those programs? It might be interesting to break it down into subsets of years, since there were times when the program was more violent than others. I think it would probably be interesting to divide the groups by sex, too, since depression is more common among women. Maybe you'd see other psychological issues in men.
If we had a good mailing list, with a couple hundred names at least, we could send it out.

Rather interesting...but I am not sure that there is a person that we would trust to send this info to. Plus even if we could trust this person...what would happen if the list were lost? From what I hear there are a number of folks who would love to get their hands on a mailing list of ex Straightlings... Attorneys for example...

I wish I knew back then , their were Attorneys looking for us.. I have alot to say to a jury/Judge about what I endured at Straight.
I see now how I didn't realize I had a right to legal council. I see now how my first trip when I got my drivers license would have been better spent at a lawyers office , instead of Straights Lobby ....
BTW , yes there is someone making a study of interest. See the Looking for Suvivors thread, I contacted the study organazation, They are legit.
