what the fuck is E Q.

Dammit I don't have the money for that shit. I don't have the monthly fee to fucking play EQ. Its EverQuest ain't it!?! Dammit, I hate you for playing that game. I'm J E A L O U S.

I've seen demos of it, I wish I could play for free. It probably wouldn't be hard for me to get the game, but I just can't afford the monthly fees. I used to play City of Heroes, awesome game. City of Villains is coming out soon, too. But the fees on CoH were mounting and mounting. In six months on a block of paid time, I payed out 12 bux * 6 months. AAAGGGGhhh.  Too much.

So, if I could find a way to hack into EQ for free....I'm all yours. I w0uld even join your clan for free and I would be your follower. I would become a character that you want me to be if I didn't have to pay the funkin fees man. Hell, you can call my character the pink fist and dress him up in pink tights with a Dirty Sanchez mustache if it helps you get me in with no fees. I'll even use a swashbuckler sword. Is EQ free and if so let me know.

Oh. N-no Withdraw, moderation in all things. If that game is keeping you alive well more power to you.

I personally have a fair to strong media addiction. I pawned a 300 dollar camera the other day so I could get some nice, crisp video games for me to play. I'm tired of Enemy Territory. E. Territory is a fully free online game 3rd person shooter. It really rocks. It is probably not as exciting as EQ might be.

But at least you are organized about your thrills. I would not call that an addiction, but w/e, I look at it as more of a need to keep you out of trouble. There are far worse things you could be doing, rite?!? Yeah, 15 smackers per month ain't bad if you like the game. I guess I let CoH go, I didn't think it was worth the 15 bux. Wasn't makin any friends. I belonged to a couple of clans but I kept quittin b/c I am an overzealous person.

I mean, I'm always looking for that game that's gonna really WAOW me to death at least for a few days. Maybe it IS an addiction, who cares. I'm too stupid to start making video games at this late in the game, maybe I'm not stupid but its alot of work to make them.

I'll look for the demo perhaps, the one for EQ you tell me about.

Those two video games I had to have were called Doom 3, I still haven't played it. And Event Horizon. I started to play Event Horizons but my graphics card or something keeps fucking up.

Basically I like story as much as I do action. That does not mean that I like RPG en full. I hate turn based stuff unless its got action. For story, I DO like damsels or anyone in distress...a city in peril. But its gotta be original and it has to be good. One of my favorite stories in a video game of all time is in the old PS1 station called Vagrant Story. I can't tell you what its about, but the game is long, the weapons melee and the characters are Out of Sight. Although there are shortcuts in this game that you can find online, there don't exist any real cheats for the game; you play or you don't. So that's what I hear about EQ and that's how CoH is. You play or you don't. You can spend cold hard, cash money to buy armor or other pieces you would otherwise find throughout the gaming arenas and all this.

Yeah, I guess I'm an addict, too. I have the old PS gaming station. I own a PS2 that does not have the cable hookstation for onlineness yet. I refuse to mod it out b/c I am an impatient fucker altogether. Something that small that requires a mag. glass and some crimpers and a solder is not really my style since it's mine and I would throw it into a wall if I broke it...thus rendering it further useless.

These days most game stations can be replaced if you know what you're doing at WalMart shops and receipts or not. It's a great store.

I want to try the newest XMens game for PS2. I hear its great for two people. I've been trying to get my partner into gaming so that I won't feel so alone around the homestead. She likes Baldur's Gate, a post D&D game for the Forgotten Realms generations. Not a bad game if you like full action and little RPG plus no turn based. It's all just kill or be killed, that's my kind of game. I don't mind the upgrades to better armor and stuff, this only adds to the playability of any character and their believability. Upgrades can add to story plots like in Vagrant Story, too. But, story plot has to be good and long and look exciting in the advertisements for me to even consider it. I can wind up hating a new game like X-Men for PS2, but its all good since they'd been around for 30 years already.

You know what I'm sayin. But yeah, 15 dollars is a good deal if you got other friends or people you have a commonality with. Maybe I'll check out EQ demo sometime. I actually tried to d/l one version of it that does not require billing.

Post by: Anonymous on September 17, 2005, 11:34:00 AM
Hmm. I guess being in EQ guilds is different than being in CoH guilds. It, too, is real time and as well it is not turn based.

Guilds in CoH are played in pretty fair real time, too. If you belong to a guild you can quit that guild just as quickly. All of your actions from the last time you played are saved for the next time you play. So if you joined a guild the last time you played then you may or may not see some of the folks you teamed up with the next time you play. Only, I didn't play EVERY day. So people in my guild or my friend's lists, on CoH, would be like five to ten levels higher the next time I saw them. The only good thing about this is that if my new team were getting our arses mopped I could sometimes call on higher level friendies for a owed favor or the like. Conversation is nice. I do miss CoH sometimes. I had a couple of real good characters including Jesus Christ of Nazareth, no joking here, another named Jjaundice and one more named 0utsid3r - black man with a penchant for hefty and race infested killmongering. And MY Jesus looked just like the sumbitch, too. He could use heal and all that shit to help his mates.

But it doesn't seem like CoH has the same amount of character playability that perhaps EQ does. There are only like five character types in the beginning. And it's not until like level 25 that you can get new character types. So yeah, Real Time Fullon Action is my liking definitively.

Once I tried to put the two computers I have running day and night in my place onto the same server passwords. I doubt this works on EQ either. CoH requires two separately payed passwords, one for each computer. This means you can't play two different characters on the same map, from different computers, unless you have two separate accounts each costing money dammit.

I imagine that EQ owners are meticulous about their copyrights and surveiled servers, just like the owners of CoH and shit. This was one reason why the awesome game known as Enemy Territory is so freaking totally free. They just didn't have the upkeep money nor the developed software yet enough to keep people who are like me from hacking out their servers at that time. Enemy Territory is still available for purchase, but these days its just as easy to download it for free and virus free, and play on all the servers. But the only difference in non-monitored servers like on EQ and CoH to E.Territory is that this free game won't give you new shit to really do. CoH and EQ is almost like More than Real Time b/c of the owner's always coming up with new shit for their payees to do. The only thing any person can do for E.T. is to get a map maker like Radium and make new maps. There are hardly any new characters, you can't increase levels beyond any certain point even if you do make new levels.

Neverless, E.T. is a great way to break into the online action world for third person shooting non turn based and non rpg video play! That'll keep you busy for at least a year depending on your addictive personality and lifestyle, plus it doesn't cost a monthly fee. If you're good you can make maps for the thing, too. Some fuckers have been known to create skins and maps that are similar to other games out there, and put them into E.T. for play.

I'll check into the EQ thing. I always enjoyed being like a nonpartisan antihero of sorts, or an NPC. I'm sure that a semi D&D action game like EQ offers some sort of game manipulation with the personal character stats. CoH nor E.T do this.

No need for more comment. I'll check into it. 'nuff said.

did you ever see Ghost Dog. and can your jesus character also help out with something like turning seven fishes in to a fully-stocked food service lunch line. can you make up what jesus can do, or do you just pick his powers and shit from a pre-made list. incredible minds want to know.

Oh yeah, I started playing out Doom3 last night. I have a newer video card. My mobo (newer Abit) has the sound built into it ...not a problem. But the video is real choppy on my video card, not sure why. I got shit loads of memory, one full gig is enuff for w/e I personally need at the same time. I'm gonna have to check online when I get time to troubleshoot the issue.

Right now I have loads of media n CDs that need putting onto my computer. I recently acquired a 160 gigs HD internal for my computer PC, have yet to use it. I run xp on a 2.8 hyperlink (doesn't mean a damm thing). So I got the external HD full with movies and crap. I got the 80 half full with stuff and more on the way every day. So, I still have alot of room to run the video game. Not sure why Doom3, a top of the line game I heard, is running so fucking choppy. Hell, I bought Prince of Persia when it first came out on PC a year or more ago, Sands of Time and all the hype, and I wound not even being able to play it b/c the new RAD Rage cards don't have fucking pixel shading on them.

I should really find a more suitable forum to post my whining about my computer onto. I might get more response, you think?

I really like the PS2 "platform games". That's what the guys at the store called them. Examples: Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Tak...stuff like that.

Anyone know something good like that out there? I know these games are much simpler than what you all are talking about.

I hate games that you have to look up online to advance. Too hard! I don't have that kinda time and I just get bored with them.

I play Baldur's Gate and I want to play some of the other Games by the maker's of the D&D (Forgotten Realms and other series) video games. They are NOT online gaming. They provide the fairly classical gaming system where as you advance in XP (experience points per fight and life's doings) you get more advancement of your choosing inside character stats. These stats are also the classic of most of the D&D role play games, only the video games offer full on ACtIOn, or Real Time Action (not turned based) as WithDraw put it so clearly.

The makers of these medieval adventures allows up to three or four or even sometimes six players on joysticks to be there with you in the fun of killing off everything. And they just keep getting better and the graphics keep improving. These, to me, are the ultimate platform games. I'm with you...sometimes I just don't have the time to work up characters online, I don't have the needed investment to even save such a character. Tho' I like thinking about online gaming. Most of your online gaming where you pay a fee really is a good service if you think about it. Your character IS saved on their server for 90 days most of the time, and your character is still eligible to play in any or most of the new updates provided in new games on their servers. all in all a good deal for the monthlys.

But, try to find the makers of the game Baldur's Gate (a Forgotten Realms adventure where you get to play a Dwarf, a spell thrower, or a bowman). If you can find who made that then you'll be in the know for any of their more than five newer and better platform games that are NOT online gaming and don't cost anything more than a trip to the used game section of your favorite game store. Even try Ebay. Most of the games I'm talking about have been on shelves for a year or more. The newer ones, like I said, offer alot more for the gaming experience.

My personal favorite is still the PS1 classic called Vagrant Story. The reason why it didn't get loud reviews is b/c you can't really cheat on it and the game is long on action and story. There is death all around, a decay that lacks description in any other platform game I have ever seen. The armor and spell structuring is also very unique to any game I have seen, it is not altogether friendly but I like it for the game's pure stand alone. I haven't beat the fucking thing yet.

Again, these games are all available in the used section and once you start thinking about them - the ones you think you want and the ones that are similar will practically fall from godamd sky.

You shouldn't have to spend a fucking small fortune on used or any kind of media. In fact, if you like smaller platform games that are 2D or 3D w/o all the glam, and if you know what the fuck you are doing ... you can stop by any Mofing local department store and pick some up and swap them out. Open the box with a dentist toothpick and be careful not to rip or tear the sticker. Take out the CD and then replace it with a blank one. When you take it back to get your money back, the box will still look unopened.

There also still exist many games that can be d/led for free on p2p servers if you know where to look. Kazaa Lite is not a bad one for p2p d/ling. Be careful to scan for viruses throughout the whole process tho', sure 'nuff. If you know how to modify (mod) shit out then you're even better off. But I figure if you did know how to mod you wouldn't be asking anyone about platform games b/c you'd be too busy telling us about them and how to get them for free. I sure as shit wish I was that hard of a hacker. I could use the money, but i'm not that hardcore. I'm more of a petty gameplayer than I am a total loser like some of you online freeks. Just kiddin, honest. Enjoy your gaming exp. I do wish I could afford the monthlies though. If i knew a way to hack into their servers clean w/o gettin booted I would found it already. Theys lokt titer than a tease's cooch; that shit won't open.

Hey Pirate

I like that about "god is in you". So many have tried to own the corner on god. But that can't happen. God IS you and me. God is love. I just don't believe anyone that claims to be able to define it any more specifically.

To me it is like a painting covered with that fake snow  spray stuff. Every now and then I get a pinhole look into just one small portion of the painting, but I'll never see it all.

For greeting the hindus say "Namaste"-the god in me greets the god in you.

this is the perfect time for me to tell you what i have been up to. i have been writing up a little review of a new disc i just picked up called Got That Purp. for you: unedited: uncut: and: by the way: fuck every last one of you. fuck you. i salute you with my middle finger. one and all. fuck the fuck lot of you. go to hell. you don't know shit. you suck as whatever it is you as. get fucked. addy. fucking . os.

tracks 1 - 3, unnoticeable.
track 4, annoying. i thought their job was to make me dance. come on big boi, work it. annoying sounds. don't overlay what MIGHT work with some of that annoying nasal female nasally not-rap-not-good "uh huh, uh huh, yayee yayee". Pfffff.

track 5, you have potential. i could produce it better than that. see, i know what's intriguing and what is just noise.

ooh, what's this. something interesting and original is happening on track 8. don't drop it! i am holding my breath! nice. okay. he's holding it. i will ignore the female voice in there. it could be more complex. now it's getting boring. okay, nice. god DAMN those female voices singing "la la, la la" too annoying. oh, that was good, when you went acapella for a few seconds. that works. that's what you gotta work. you gotta bring the listener on, then drop the floor out to interest their listening nerves. 3:30 seconds of not much so far. big boi needs me. big boi, you need my ears.

track 9. there is hope. the percussion, man. god damn. and they call themselves professional. okay, it turns around, does some interesting stuff at about the  1 minute mark. nice. who is this.big boi, bun b., big gee, gee rock. 808. nice. okay. here's some talent. WAAAY too much dependence on the uh. synth drums. but still, sure, i could bust a move to this one.

track 10. i am intrigued. a continuation of the rhythm line from the previous track. i'm gonna give this one a listen again later. it could potentially be excellent for my needs. i'll get back to you. oh yes, 1minute 39 seconds. okay. VERRY NIce. this one's a winner, folks. i'd tweak that upper register "string" line. otherwise, not much to complain about. about 2min50 sec same accapella excellence. see, that accappella advice of mine is not heeded enough. new guy at 3min 40 sec. i like him. ooh. i rilly like him. they are introducing some voices i am not familliar with. killer mike, bubba sparxxx, 3 - 6 mafia. get em shawty. this. is very usable stuff.

track 11. too chaotic. i packed my bowl and thought about college boys for a whole minute there. here comes snoop dogg, 1min40sec to save this one. i have heard one other person with the voice of a gangster. hiya. 2min30 outkast. talkin bout they bowtie again and they cadillac.

track 12. YAAAWN. what is this, world music? yawnarama. let the dogs out. thought about timmy kemp. hoped he'd get a kick out of his mention here. where's my fucking pipe. oh, there it is. fekkin schwag weed. man i need some tweaking. wait a minute, my mind just went to the music. i started it back up. it's better after a few tokes. oh yeah. i get it now. see, kids. weed, it's just like those funny goggles you put on to see the 3-d movie. yes. why didn't  i hear it before. it's mesmerizing.

let me just interject that this would be the perfect opportunity to run to the store and pick up a copy of got that purp. then you could listen along with us.
