Does anyone remeber the night newton came out and grabbed leigh ann by the hair and slammed her aga8inst the concrete, I do, what about all the constant abuse and threats of being taken out and having the shit beat out of you. anyone remember mike daniels, who had to sit in the intake room with no lights, only peanut butter and nbo one allowed to speak to him. To get tortured and sat on with 5 or 6 big dudes for rockin out to zeppelin. No druggie ties, how this fucked up everything socially for us and mentally we were gone. Let's have a song, zippeddeeeeedooodaa

I was lying in bed last night unable to sleep and one of those moments popped into my head. I can't remember the guys name, but I think he was from Asheville, NC. During open meeting this guys was supposed to be doing his introduction and he decided he didn't want to. So he starts to walk off. Naturally, the 4th phasers who were stationed beside him jumped up and went after him. All of the sudden this guy pulls out a straight razor blade. I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone stop that fast.

The guy was then mobbed and pummeled by the 5th phasers on the side of group and dragged from the room at the command of Dennis Buttermer. During review, Mr.Buttermer had him dragged back into the room. The guy looked in bad shape and was yelled at mercessly and called every name in the book. You could just see him caving in on himself.

I remember Newton throwing Leigh. What was even worse was seeing her in the bathroom, with 3 or 4 girls slamming her up against the wall. They grabbed her by the wrists, swung her around and let her go. We had to walk right by to get to the stall, and pretend it wasn't happening. All on Newton's orders.

He also grabbed another little girl by the hair around that same time. Kim Wassimer (sp?) I believe. He stormed down the row and dragged her out to the aisle by her hair - just like a fucking caveman.

I think Mike Daniels was the guy that stabbed Scott Prophett in the eye with a pen. Not nearly what he deserved if you ask me.

I wonder if Straight drove me insane. I really feel crazy and have been labled buy many shrinks many different ways. Straight definately did not help me but I wonder if I would have been emotionally unstable anyway. I really would like to know this even though I know it is impossible to ever find out.

I tried to let it go for the last 20 years, but when I found out that these Sembler cronies still provide their special ways of treating children for drug use these days, I just couldn't help but get involved. If your name comes up on a board here and there, it is because you are one of their victims, and are now being offered the opportunity to contribute some effort to help save others the lifetime of personal expense involved in that type of treatment. I would hope that more people would help, but horses don't necessarily drink when led to water, no matter how sweet, and I can accept that fact. Whether you choose to help or not is your choice, but please do not criticize the efforts of those who are actively involved in saving lives from this misery. WOW, haven't heared that one for 25 years.  The whole model of "confidenticality" is nothing more that a prescription for abuse.  Anyone from Straight should know that.  I'm glad to be one of the ones spilling the beans about the abuse that happend back then.  Don't you want to see these people held accountable?

Regardless, I'm moving forward and will continue to seek accountability, especially when these people are active in MY government!
