Title: When Am I Going To Learn
Post by: Anonymous on August 05, 2005, 07:55:00 PM
You know Straight taught me a few things,Here they are. The problem is I keep forgetting them and keep trying to convince myself that somehow those lessons cant actually be true.

1. NEVER trust ANYONE, no not even another survivor who should be the last one to hurt you they don't mean to but they do sometimes.
2. NEVER sign anything it will ALWAYS be something you regret.
3. YOUR PARENTS DONT CARE. God I wish I could remember that instead of expecting them to give a damn about what happened.
4. When someone says LOVE YA RUN LIKE HELL cause the next thing that is coming is very painful.
5. NEVER put your true thoughts or feelings on paper (MI)because it can and will be used against you. Someone will save that email, or that post or call someone and tell them your a threat to someone's safety.
6. NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER reveal your true pain, rage and anger about Straight because someone will try to deminish what happened. Stand you up and call you a press attention freak or try to confront you about your "true" motives. If that doesn't work they will try to threaten you with physical harm (just like straight did which brings back ptsd)and if that doesn't work they revert to the "lets humuliate the hell out of them".
7. NEVER trust someone that says "I'm a professional". Oddly enough, I got that one. I usually don't forget that one.

Anyway, just a ramble anyone else have trouble remembering the rules we were taught. The rules and morals we were raised with.

No, not really. I think one of the most important things I unlearned from the Program is that people are never 100% good nor 100% bad. I can count on one hand the number of people who I trust completely as you describe. But there are a lot of ppl who I like, respect, enjoy their company. You don't have to sever all ties w/ someone just because you've discovered some of their faults.

The only maxim of a free government ought to be to trust no man living with power to endanger the public liberty.
-- John Adams, (1772)

You should kill yourself now, especially since your life is half over with and you don't even trust the feet you walk on.
