Title: Ideas for Finding Survivors
Post by: Anonymous on July 19, 2005, 03:27:00 PM
I could use some idaes for finding some old survivors. I don't have any money. One way I thought I could do a search for old survivors in my Straight was to just do a phone book look up, or even an internet search. I could stop by some of the oldcomer houses I was in, see if they're still there. Someone else gave me a suggestion to look up houses by Pinellas County Appraiser and Owner information. I can just enter names and stuff like that. I figured since I can't gte to nany posble====== police records I shuold try other creativer ways to finding pepoele who wre in straght wiht me.

I still have a few of those client adress books from Dallas.  Maybe some flordia people still have "dime theorpy" sheets.  Most probley moved off, but it's a starting point for tracking.

I've used a lot of different sources for tracking people down.

Old 7th Step lists, you can enter the phone numbers in a reverse phone search on http://www.whitepages.com (http://www.whitepages.com)

http://www.google.com (http://www.google.com) is a great way to find people.

http://www.classmates.com (http://www.classmates.com) is where I've found a few people if you know the year and school they graduated from.

Looking up parents on the internet is a pretty reliable way if you remember their names.  I was really suprised at how many parents still lived in the same house and never moved.

Good Luck

Don

A real easy way is to search birth, death and wedding announcements, in the city they are from not just the STRAIGHT city.

I found a survivor but her last name was changed. She got married and she is in the same city as me. How can I check old wedding announcements to find out what her last name is now and possible make contact with her?
