Looking for former students. Anybody familiar with this program? Would love to swap stories (good or bad) Thanks in advance.

My neice went to Hope Ranch in Montana and has been back not quite a year. In fact, when she was at HR, there was a big problem with the head guy there (not exactly sure what happened), but a teacher there left and took some students with her and set up a different "school", I don't remember where.
I'll drop her a line and let her know about this web-site.
My son was sent to Casa by the Sea, but NOT by me. FYI, I was stunned when I learned about Casa and then learned about 'behavior mod', and found out my sister sent her daughter there on purpose! I read my sis the riot act, although she stands by what she did.

That would be awesome to make contact with another student! Yeah, there was a big broo-ha-ha. I guess one of the teachers reached under the table and pulled one of the girls out by the hair. Did she stay after that or did she leave?
Thanks for your quick reply! :nworthy:

What I heard, if I remember right, is something about the head guy flipped out and was sending the girls to wilderness or something, where they basically sat in the woods, silent, all the damn day long, for days. Creepy stuff like that, and I think he also hit some girl or slapped her. Something about a fight, too. The teacher was I think, Miss Cheryl? Does that sound familiar to you?
By the way, were you there? When?

The ranch closed early this year. According to comments they left the area with bills unpaid. Staff members did not see what they believed was either a therapeutic or Christian environment.
