Interesting Read see Below!

Please Vote and Think before you do. If your family has been democrat or republican for generations please do not use that as a bench mark for your party affiliation or voting habits. Please use your head and common sense. If not for those of us who do, do us a favor and stay home on election day. Unless you are from Ohio of course vote now and vote often.

545 PEOPLE

By Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered why, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered why, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does (although it's not his Constitutionally granted authority).

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, ethically and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional Duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ , it's because they want them in IRAQ.

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way. There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like 'the economy,' 'inflation,' or 'politics' that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Charlie Reese is a former columnist of the Orlando Sentinel Newspaper .What you do with this article now that you have read it is up to you, though you appear to have several choices.

1. You can send this to everyone in your address book, and hope' they' do something about it.

2. You can agree to 'vote against' everyone that is currently in office, knowing that the process will take several years.

3. You can decide to 'run for office' yourself and agree to do the job properly.

4. Lastly, you can sit back and do nothing, or re-elect the current bunch.

Open Free for All / NO SPEEDO'S
« on: March 02, 2006, 03:49:00 PM »

European men! Put down the Speedo and step away from the beach! Some people still don?t believe it but yes a lot of European men wear Speedo?s. You are breaking the guy code; it?s like looking down in a communal shower full of guys. You just don?t do that! Sure it was fine for Olympic swimmer Mark Spitz back in the seventies or for competitive swimmers now but for god sake, an afternoon at a public beach? Paleez dude I am on vacation and I want to enjoy my all inclusive meals without getting nauseous. And while we are on the subject of Europeans, let?s talk about these Bastards! Now I know I am generalizing and there are a lot of good and kind people all over the world, but the French are some of the rudest snottiest people I have ever met or been around. Yes I believe this is not a myth, these people will walk straight to the front of the line for anything as though they are entitled to be first. Yeah Peppie you are entitled to be first after you wait your F%$#ing! turn get it? We went to an all inclusive resort in Punta Cana Dominican Republic for seven days last month. The guest were primarily Canadian and European, now a lot of the Dominican workers at the resort insisted they liked Americans the best, well that may or may not be true depending on who they are waiting on at the moment (it?s all about the buck). But one thing is for sure, not only are the French snotty but they are some cheap Bastards as well. I found that just tipping a few dollars a day got fantastic service from the bar staff. But not once at any time did I see any European tip, anything! Rude and cheap what a combination. It?s still kills me at how they turn their noses up at Americans in general, shit did we not liberate these people from Germany in WWII at the expense of many brave American soldiers. But I guess the same could be said as they helped liberate us from Britian during the Revolutinary war. But that?s when the French were brave you know prior to the Eiffel tower the highest place in France in which to hang a white flag to surrender to anyone. Anyway European men let go of the Speedo?s we are not impressed[ This Message was edited by: thepatriot on 2006-03-02 12:49 ]

Tacitus' Realm / Shooting Ducks In A Barrel
« on: February 14, 2006, 04:05:00 PM »

WASHINGTON - Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shot and wounded a companion during a weekend quail hunting in Texas.
Meanwhile, Texas state wildlife officials reported Monday that while Vice President Cheney had purchased a valid non-resident hunting license, he did not obtain a required "upland game bird stamp. Accident? or just plain supidity and lack of hunting skills?, after all this guy goes on canned hunts, you know places where guys pay money to go shoot wild game thats chained to a fence post as if thats hunting. Either way there is one thing we know is for sure, Ted Kennedy's Oldsmobile has killed more people than Vice President Cheneys's shotgun.

Tacitus' Realm / Deadbeat Dads
« on: February 01, 2006, 10:43:00 AM »
I just read an article by Richard Sine titled Deadbeat Dads and I have to wonder what in the hell this guy is thinking.
He seems to feel sorry for all these poor men that have some how been duped into fatherhood. Being a divorced father myself I had to sit back and think. And after about 2 seconds I had to laugh at the point this guy was getting at. He contends that fathers should have as much of a choice to be a parent as the mother and contends that some men are forced into fatherhood and paying child support. What in the F#@% is this guy thinking?? The fact is there is a choice, the man had just as much of a choice to have sex as the women he had it with. For the life of me I cannot understand why some people forget what the possible outcome of having sex be it with or without birth control. Yes even with condoms the pill and any other means there is still a chance of conception this is not a new concept nothing is 100%. My girlfriend clerks for a judge in the family courts division in the county where we reside. I hear stories all time about how these losers come to court and claim they didn?t want the child or they have no job. Hey all you deadbeat dads that quit a perfectly good job just to not pay child support you SUCK, how would you have felt as a kid if your own father had done that to you? Maybe he did and you are following in that losers foot steps. If all I had left was to pump gas or flip burgers to financially honor my obligations as a father I would do it period! what puts me or any of you sorry asses above doing what it takes. Or the best one is when a guy gets divorced and moves on starts another family and decides that his new kids are more deserving then his other kids you SUCK even more and later on in life you will probably wonder why your kids hate your sorry ass. I guess the point that I am trying to make is that it boils down to responsibility and being a man what is so hard about this? You idiots cost the tax payers money dodging your responsibilities because the courts have to chase your worthless asses down just to get a few dollars out of you to help feed your kids.
You do have a choice in being a father nobody forces you to be a sperm donor that is a decision that you make so Man Up and take care of your responsibilities Losers. And I am not leaving women out of this especially the ones that claim paternity on 1 or more men that end up not being the father, thank god for DNA test but that is for another post.

Tacitus' Realm / The Troops, Support Them Denzel Washington does
« on: June 23, 2005, 11:26:00 PM »
Don't know whether you heard about this but Denzel Washington and his family visited the troups at Brook Army Medical Center, in San Antonio,Texas (BAMC) the other day. This is where soldiers that have been evacuated from Germany come to be hospitalized in the States, especially burn victims. They have buildings there called Fisher Houses. The Fisher House is a hotel where soldiers' families can stay, for little or no charge, while their soldier is staying in the hospital. BAMC has quite a few of these houses on base but as you can imagine, they are almost completely filled most of the time.

While Denzel Washington was visiting BAMC, they gave him a tour of one of the Fisher Houses. He asked how much one of them would cost to build. He took his check book out and wrote a check for the full amount right there on the spot. The soldiers overseas were amazed to hear this story and want to get the word out to the American public, because it warmed their hearts to hear it.

The question I have is why does Alec Baldwin, Madonna, Sean Penn and other Hollywood types make front page news with their anti-everything America junk and this doesn't even make page 3 in the Metro section of any newspaper except the base newspaper in San Antonio???!!!

P.S.  Here is the official website for Fisher Houses, in case you're skeptical.

A good friend in the service also emailed me pictues his wife took while Denzel was there if you are interested email me at [email protected]

Let It Bleed / Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas
« on: June 06, 2005, 08:52:00 PM »
So tell me, is the economy really as bad as some in the media would lead us to believe? I spent a week in Las Vegas over Memorial Day weekend, thanks to my loving girl friends gift that she bestowed on me for my 40th birthday. Now mind you I have never been to Vegas let alone over a weekend holiday.

As far as excess goes it was pretty much everything that I expected, flashy loud, in a lot of cases tacky as hell. I mean where else on earth can you get married at 4am in all night make shift wedding chapel by an Elvis impersonator in between shows at the Bolagio? And no I did not go there to get married; I think some where in the Caribbean would be more to my liking rather than a Pirate Ship in front of Treasure Island with a bunch of Japanese tourists snapping their cameras.

I guess the thing that got me the most is the amount of adults with their young children in tow. Granted there are water parks and other things for kids to do, but that would have to be in between dad dropping 500.00 at the black jack table. What is up with some of you ignorant ass selfish adults dragging your kids to Vegas for a family vacation? Just think, little Johnny wants to go for a roller coaster ride on top of the Stratosphere but dad is too busy losing little Johnny's college fund at the 100.00 minimum black jack table , getting stoned drunk and hitting on the high priced hooker next to him. Yeah that's just what I would want my 10 year old to see WTF!

Sorry got on a tangent there, I guess my whole point here, is seeing all the people there, hotels packed, and all the money that is dropped. I guess it shows me that the economy can't really be that bad unless I was just surrounded by a bunch of millionaires. Which I seriously doubt because they won't allow me in places like that. No really, I inquired at the newly built Wynn hotel huge, beautiful and classy, I went to the front desk and asked the price on a room. I was wearing a sleeveless shirt(tatoos showing) and I noticed the snooty desk clerk slightly rolling her eyes as she was checking availability. She replied back with 289.00 a night, so after watching her first reaction with my appearance, I replied with "Don't you have a smelly biker discount" she looked in confusion or more like disgust and said no. So then I asked her the price for a suite, she told me they had no suites. A hotel in Vegas with no suite? Riiiiight. I guess there was just no suite for a guy inquiring about a "Smelly Biker Discount" Anyway, I really doubt the economy is as bad as some people would believe or why else would places like Vegas and other casinos be that busy. Some would say hope, well if some of you are that dense to think you are going to parlay your 100.00 into 100,000.00 you need to check what little intelligence you have at the door. These places exist on your money. But lets face it walking away from the Black Jack table with a extra 50.00 can be fun.

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / Why men are happier
« on: May 10, 2005, 08:57:00 AM »
Men Are Just Happier People-- What do you expect from such simple
creatures? Your last name stays put. The garage is all yours. Wedding plans
take care of themselves. Chocolate is just another snack.

You can be President. You can never be pregnant. You can wear a white
T-shirt to a water park. You can wear NO shirt to a water park. Car
mechanics tell you the truth.

The world is your urinal. You never have to drive to another gas station
restroom because this one is just too icky. You don't have to stop and think
of which way to turn a nut on a bolt. Same work, more pay. Wrinkles add
character. Wedding dress $5000. Tux rental-$100. People never stare at your
chest when you're talking to them.

The occasional well-rendered belch is practically expected. New shoes
don't cut, blister, or mangle your feet. One mood all the time. Phone
conversations are over in 30 seconds flat. You know stuff about tanks. A
five-day vacation requires only one suitcase. You can open all your own
jars. You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness. If
someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still be your friend.

Your underwear is $8.95 for a three-pack. Three pairs of shoes are more
than enough. You almost never have strap problems in public. You are unable
to see wrinkles in your clothes. Everything on your face stays its original
color. The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades. You only have to
shave your face and neck.

You can play with toys all your life. Your belly usually hides your big
hips. One wallet and one pair of shoes one color for all seasons. You can
wear shorts no matter how your legs look. You can "do" your nails with a
pocketknife. You have freedom of choice concerning growing a mustache.

No wonder men are happier!
