That is an interesting article. I do have one question, though. Where did my post go that was on this topic in reply to anonymous? I put it there two days ago and now it is gone. Antigen?

Maybe you were there when there were only ten kids, but that was the way it was any time before about two or three years ago, so you could be anyone. The kid been there the longest back then, I think, was Kasey, for three years or something like that. Is that who you are?

Thanks for letting me know, Tha Truth. But couldn't the parents have just changed the contract if they decided their kid didn't need therapy anymore when the transition took place?[ This Message was edited by: mouse on 2005-06-29 15:05 ]

"Oh come on Mouse! Like I wouldn't know the difference between Cheryl and some self-righteous kid yelling at me. Please. If things were honestly different in "your time" then that's great. Don't make universal statements about the "way things are" if you're no longer there. You wouldn't know. Cheryl pushed Mormonism very hard and oftentimes ridiculed the religions the other kids were brought up with. How accepting is that?"

I'm not saying it is like that now. I'm saying I haven't seen it happen ever at the Whitmore (while I was in the program and on visits). I don't believe Cheryl to be the type of person to push her religion on others, or ridicule others for what they believe, and I haven't seen or heard her do either of those. I'm Catholic and I've talked to her about my beliefs before, and she openly accepted Catholicism and was curious to know more about it. Cheryl is very accepting of religious beliefs. I've never seen her push her religion on anyone. Maybe it did happen, I don't know because I wasn't there when you were, but I strongly believe it did not because she is not at all the type of person to do that.

And where did you get these records? Because the real ones show he left Cedar because he reported abuse. Ironic, isn't it, that a guy who was fired for reporting abuse is working at a place that was supposed to be abusive? Says something, if you ask me.

And Antigen, I said that because Tha Truth was asking why some kids are still at Whitmore who were there when it was a treatment center. I know it's a boarding school now.

Well, I don't feel like walking over to the other building just to count some paper on the wall, but I have seen them and there are a ton. I haven't asked Cheryl anything about Dr Farrow, nor have I heard anything from her relating to his qualifications.

What kids still attend Whitmore from 'your program days'? From what I've seen the only possible one is that girl Caitlyn since she's been there almost two years. Next to that is some boy who has been there a year, I forget his name.

But look, don't people stop needing therapy after a while? Just because someone needs it once in their life doesn't mean they will until death. Doesn't even mean they'll need it a month from that time. People get over their problems eventually.

First Baptist Church
61 South Main Street, Nephi, UT 84648
(435) 623-5440

Look it up on Whitepages if you don't believe it. And I don't know what happened to that other church, maybe it closed after I left. This was years ago. And I don't know about the going to hell thing, never happened in my time. Are you sure it wasn't some evangelistic kid or something? We didn't have group on kids for not going to church, either. If they didn't do their reports, we did have group, but if they did their reports or went to a church they were fine. Maybe you all had to attend church together because it was big group or something. There was only like 10 kids when I was there.

I'm glad you made clear what Whitmore is now. You're right about all that, other than Dr Farrow's PhD. Actually, he has probably four or five degrees, all on the wall in his office, which I have seen personally. I've spoken with him and he is definitely an educated man. Why are you dragging him into all this, anyway?

Hey, wait a minute. Somebody has some bad information here.

Actually, kids can walk to and attend the church of our choice. The Baptist church is actually closer than the LDS one. There is also one other church I know of in Nephi, either Catholic or Presbyterian, can't remember which.

No, kids are not punished for not attending church. If somebody doesn't go to church, they do have to write a report on spirituality, but that is because Sunday is a day for focusing on one's spirit. The parents were fully aware when they sent their kids to the Whitmore that it was Christian, and therefore should know that church or spirituality of some type was going to be required. And if they didn't know, they obviously need to call 1-800-ABCDEFG for some Hooked On Phonics.

I do know we are allowed to go to these other churches, because guess what, I went to the Baptist one quite a few times when I attended Whitmore! It is right on Main St, one block from Whitmore, check it out online if you don't believe me! It may be a small town, but even small towns have more than one church.

Those horses are from Canada, I've seen pictures of them at the lodge.

And I really, really don't think they did bring any horses to Mexico with them. If they did, it was only once or twice. Where did that story come from?

I didn't claim for it to have been a boarding school any time before that. I just said that it is now. I am fully aware the Whitmore Academy became accredited in November 2004. Those kids are on there because they left when the school had that website.

I was at the Whitmore from May 2002 until July 2003. I did notice I wasn't on that page, so I asked, and they said it was because that was before the website was even there. It was called Who Am I Discovery back then and was a program, not a boarding school as it is now. I was visiting when the Zita incident went down because my grandmother lives in a little town in southern Utah called Salina, and thought I'd take a little trip to see Mark & Cheryl and all the kids. I stayed there for a couple days and then also stopped by for a day on my up to Salt Lake airport.

Why do I have to explain myself. I don't know why you all can't just listen to the real truth instead of all these lies going around.

About the missing alumni, I really don't know, but if I had to guess, probably for the kid's sake. I'd suppose that if they didn't like their experiences at the school, they wouldn't want to be affilated with it, would they?

Yep, she sure did... I saw that happen. And as Joyce tried to drag, literally drag her daughter to the car, she got away and ran to one of the girls, held on to her  and would not let go. Joyce, of course, ripped her daughter from the girl, hitting the girl in the face in the process.

And yes, I saw these things happen with my own two eyes, because I was there.

Eyewitness, okay? That means not 'he said she said' BS like most of you are dragging out.
