Thank you for sharing all you are doing to let Utah officials know about Whitmore.
In the same token, many of us will be sure they know about you and your daughter's alleged abuse against you. We will be sure they check into DSS or CPS or whatever they call it in Texas since you did have a lawyer that helped you everytime your daughter called it on YOU. What was that lawyers name? Never mind, I am sure there is a public record of it.
Word has it many of the officials have already classied you a lunatic or a woman that needs attention. Well does your husband not give you that attention? What about those Birthday Photo's? Weren't they enough?
Oh, just in case you are wondering, the new KIDS did not come from your Sue obsession, sorry to disappoint you, but there are others that refer highly to the Whitmore.
Go obsess over the Fire Codes now. I am sure it makes your day. I came on here since I have heard so much about this, and I am stunned that you have dedicated so much of your time here. I hope your kid gets the same attention.

I have no records with any agency, anywhere, because I do not and have not ever abused my daughter.
And the photos that you refer to that were stolen off of my computer--and the FBI is preparing a "tampering with a witness report" for the County Attorney, Mr. Eldridge---were not "BIRTHDAY PHOTOS"....they were "Valentine Pictures" for my husband....nice ones I might add. So please keep your facts straight.
And, yes--the fire codes are a serious issue, and I will be contacting Mr. Halladay to make sure he does another inspection to be assured that all VIOLATIONS are done according to meet HIS REQUIREMENTS.

You need to read posts from the former students on this forum: the former students talk about how Cheryl Sudweeks forces students to tell LIES about their parents, etc in an effort to instill the concept of the "WHITMORE FAMILY." So, you just can't worry too much about all that CULT-BUILDING STUFF that goes on there under Cheryl's direction in Cherl's little GROUP SESSIONS. Cherly forces the kids to LIE about their parents in an effort to get them to LOVE HER...sort of sick, huh?
People here can refer to to lots of literature to read about CULTS, if you are interested.

My husband was a firefighter for 30 years, so I am very aware of what the lack of conformance to fire codes can do. An old building like the Whitmore can burn in less than 10 minutes. But before that even happens, the smoldering smoke, before the fire actually gets rip-roaring, will probably kill the occupants. Then they will all burn beyond recognition.
Then there is the question of the response time of the Nephi Fire Department, if there is one. It may be just a county fire department. In a large city, with many fire stations, the response time is much faster. Is the fire department in Nephi mostly made up of volunteers or are they all on-duty paid firefighters?
Think about it, parents with kids at Whitmore, it can happen in a heartbeat. If it happened at night, your children would almost certainly DIE a horrible death.

Excuse me, but fire watches at a bed and breakfast or so-called boarding school are not standard procedure. What planet are you from?
Of course, Joey is the issue, but the rest of the kids at Whitmore are also important, and they shouldn't be put at risk to become STATISTICS!!!

Mr. Halladay must understand the importance of him personally doing a FINAL INSPECTION of his requirements for the Whitmore being brought up to code. The Sudweeks can not be allowed to "self-monitor" these repairs/improvements, OR just producing "paperwork" showing that the repairs have been done.
Voice your opinion that Mr. Halladay must personally verify that all work has been completed to insure the safety of these kids at Whitmore Academy.

According to the article in the Salt Lake City Tribune---the Sudweeks only have until mid-May to be in compliance with these fire code violations.

I find it ironic that you are so concerned everyone know about the "real" Joyce Harris when there are apparently EIGHT substanstiated incidents of abuse on record for Whitmore. Do you have substantiated reports from the authorities about Joyce in this regard? Or just insinuations and rumor started from a supsect source?
I am also sick to death about the photo issue. It seems to concern you people more that Joyce took some silly romantic dolled up pics of herself for her HUSBAND than it does that these photos were STOLEN from her computer!! Surely Photos of this nature are a private matter and not for public consumption, I dont know what you and your husband (or wife) do in your private relationship nor do I care. I have read that boudoir photos are quite popular for couples, so if she did do something silly and romantic for him, she is in good company. We are talking romance here, not porn! I should think in this day and age with all the divorce we should be happy for any couple to have a healthy sexual relationship, more power to them! God does allow for that you know, between married couples, at least that is my understanding.
The thing that bothers me about these photos is not that they exist but that they were STOLEN off her computer! That should concern everyone! Whats on your computer??? How the hell did the Sudweeks come to have them also unless they a. participated or b. condoned the action? Do the means justify the ends here? The only thing I can see Joyce guilty of here was not having a proper fire wall, hardly illegal or immoral.
As for the fire issue, if my child were there, yep I would be plenty upset the fire marshall said a night fire watch had to be maintained for the reasons stated. I would not have my child there until those issues were taken care of. In the event of a fire in an old heritage building, I think it doesnt take a fire expert to see that getting 40 children out safely would not be easy given that there is apparently only one exit off of the upper floor and a poor sprinkler system to boot.
Can you not see how serious that is? I have only 3 kids to get out of my home and I pray I never have to do it because it terrifies me that I would have to leave one behind in the event that I had to get them all out. Multiply that 10 x and I cannot see how that wouldnt concern the people living there.
Maybe think your concerns over again.

A point not yet made about the fire hazard - the very real possibility of a fire starter.
I gather Whitmore does take kids with behavior problems despite not being a treatment center or offering therapy. . .
Fire starting is a growing problem among "troubled" kids. According to a Producer with M-TV, who called me once about a documentary they were considering (wonder what ever happen with that?) Fire starting was becoming as big a problem as self mutilation.
Personally, I find that hard to believe, and yet,
I know of a situation here in town, where a girl's home operated by MaryHurst, was set a blaze by a troubled girl. Everyone got out OK, but they had a fire plan and were up to code. It could have been very different had that not been the case.
And there are these statements about Cheyral liking candles - everyone burning candles - This, combined with the population they are boarding, and a facility in violation of fire codes - Seems like an issue worth some attention to me.
As far as this picking on Joyce, You are wasting your time and effort. It has long been clear who the liar is; and it aint Joyce. You are just further proving yourself to be an ass.
Who ever is posting that about Joey - Anon posts are fine on Fornits, but if you are an actual witness, I hope you'll stand by your testimony, give it some credibility by putting your name to it, and filed a report with the various authorities, and I wish you'd file one with ISAC.

As far as Joyce Harris and her efforts and concerns about the Whitmore, I call it a public service. What she states is the truth -- like it or not. It wouldn't matter if there were pictures of her standing on her head naked. She is not the one being investigated -- plain and simple. Get a grip, people, the Sudweeks have committed and are still committing crimes and lying through their teeth. The sad part, they are bringing their own kids down with them.
It takes dedication, time and effort to right wrongs and bring about change. There are not enough people who commit themselves to bringing about change. It's usually an attitude of "leave it for someone else to do." I say kudos to anyone who feels stongly enough to actually do something.

The Sudweeks SAY: they have adopted kids at the Whitmore with "Reactive Attachment Disorder." One of the symptoms of RAD is "fire setting." My daughter has RAD, but has NEVER shown a fascination/problem with fire. IF one of these kids set a fire in that wooden, 3 story house with only one exit---it could death and destruction for sure.
The reports of drug abuse at Whitmore only adds to the potential problem.
Leaving these kids without adult supervision EVEN more adds to the potential problem--and the Sudweeks DO LEAVE the facility with KIDS SUPEVISING KIDS.
My daughter does report that on shopping trips, Cheryl Sudweeks did make the kids buy candles. I do not know the real purpose behind the purchasing of candles on each "trip to town." But the candle's were burned in all the girl's bedrooms nightly. They boys also purchased candles.
The State of Utah's requirement to LICENSE and REGULATE Boarding Schools is not an attempt to "annoy owners." It is for the protection of minor children--and it deserves the support of OWNERS, Children, and most certainly the PARENTS of these children. Why be against anything that is in the best interest of children, I ask?

Just a note on computers...
I am a Network Engineer and would like to offer you some advice on dealing with "cyber" crime.
Yes, it is ALL traceable.
However, it is imperative that you act quickly in reporting to the police, as IP's are only traceable as long as the ISP's logs are intact for the date of the offense, usually 60-180 days, MAXIMUM. So timeliness is key to effective prosecution.

Thanks---we reported it to the FBI...and Agent who came to our house brought with him another Agent who is a "forenic computer expert." The legal part is in the FBI's hands now. NICE to have them dealing with it.
That's what all the "gosspy" stuff about my husband's pictures is about...whoopie, so they saw pictures of me in a "teddy and a nightgown."
These are PEOPLE--The Sudweeks-- who dance around in their little MORMON SACRED UNDERGARMENTS in front of a bunch of teenagers for Christ's sake!

Don't think Joyce Harris ever said a teddy was SACRED. Don't think she was accused of wearing a teddy in front of school children---she just took some pictures for her husband the way I understand it....and someone stole these pictures off her computer: AND THAT IS THE ONLY CRIME I SEE HERE!

Just for the record, I did not post any picture of the "Mormon Undergarments."
I do not attend this church, so I would have no reason to purchase these "Undergarments," because I would not be participating in whatever practices are required to EARN this privilege.
BUT, if I did go to this church, and earn this privillege to wear such sacred "garments," I most certainly would not dishonor my faith, or fellow church members by parading around in front of ANYONE in them, especially school children.

A short explantion of the photos: since YOU pulled up this site yourself.
Someone (two minor students at the Whitmore, according to the FBI who did a forensic evaluation on my computer)..broke into my home computer and stole photos--it was a harmless set of picture that I had made for my husband for Valentines Day....NOT anything to be ashamed of.
Secondly: the poster who referred to the people as "slime"...is posting anonymously--so I don't believe you have to worry about your son having any type of "relationship" with him/her.
Please don't take every posting personally--or you will just stay upset. OK?

I will not press charges against MINORS who were only doing what they were instructed to do by an irresponsible ADULT. What would be fair about that? This young lady and man know exactly WHO they are. Perhaps ONE day when they are not being controlled by anyone else, they will see fit to apologize for invading my privacy, costing me money for the damages they caused, and for engaging in ILLEGAL activities. They may want to also thank me for not causing them to face Federal Felony charges, and for their parents to have to hire attorneys to KEEP THEM OUT OF PRISON.
Often when these kids get away from Whitmore, they do develope a sense of RIGHT and WRONG--and they do have the desire to make amends to those they have harmed.

I have asked this question -- does the end justify the means? To say that not all programs work for all kids is saying the methods used are okay for some, and for those for whom it is not, they should just forget about it. How do you do that when a child has been abused? The stories from the kids are the same, from all over the country. You can't just turn you head and say they are all just making things up. Not only does that allow the abuse to go on with other children, but it says to the kids who were abused that they should accept abuse, that abuse is okay.
The contract states specific services, and you, in good faith, pay for those services, you should get them. We were lied to. We did not agree to any shape or form of abuse, verbal or physical. We paid for licensed, qualified people to handle the problems our granddaughter was sent to the Whitmore for, not for Cheryl Sudweeks abusiveness

It is one thing for a stranger to post directly to you on a forum, and for you to ACCUSE ME of having something to do with what this stranger has to say to YOU.
It is an entirely different matter for a child to make a formal statement to the authorities about abuse that happened . You do not want to cross that line and accuse these kids of lying about this--because you may end up calling your own son a liar if he makes a formal statement to the authorities. This may be a point in which you saying nothing is best for you. You were not there, and you do not know what our children have suffered, and we at least deserve that respect.
I have never SAID that Cheryl Sudweeks is responsible for the language of any of the kids who post here. I have said, that some of the posts may not even be made by the kids themselves, and that their names are merely signed to the posts.
