She flew the coop actually, but she's back.  I don't like to shit-talk.  I don't hold anyone in disdain whose will is broken as a child.  But sometimes it ain't a lot of fun living with someone who has been through a child-abuse mill.

You';re absolutely right, and it takes dedication and love to live with us, but I promise you, most of us, because it is so hard to find people that can deal with all of the trauma... will give you just as much or more dedication and love in return...

I know I'm late here, but I'm a survivor with a wonderful domestic partner... and she's a wonderful stepparent to my 5 year old son...

I couldn't ask for anything better...

not to mention I live in Wallington now.

If you ever need a fill-in bassist or vocalist, let me know

Government is not reason, it is not eloquence, it is force; like fire, a troublesome servant and a fearful master. Never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action.

I think my parents were victimized like we were, in thier own way, so yes, my parents and I have a somewhat difficult relationship, but none of it stems from what happened in KIDS.

On the bright side, angela and I now have a kidlet (Dillon Christopher Lynch, b 10/25/2002), so my parents have been spending lots more time with us, and I think its all on the total mend.

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / kinda suprising

Even more than that, some of us were using the net before KIDS (like me, as far back as 1991) and therefore it was one of the first places to turn to right afterwards (about 1994), however to some people, the internet was largely a new phenomenon, people who were in KIDS for its closing stretch may not have been exposed to it as much as the rest of the world. Relax, they'll catch up

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / Universal Declaration of Human Rights
« on: November 04, 2002, 07:39:00 AM »
So I have a friend, that is an expert in Human Rights law, who wanted a test case to bring the UN Declaration of Human Rights into the US courts.

The US, as a member of the UN and a signatory of its charter is responsible to uphold its declarations as laws, therefore, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is law in the US, but this has never been tested.

Hearing about the abuse we suffered in the likes of KIDS, Straight, etc., She thought that it would make a decent test case, and she thinks the funding can come from such orgs that would be interested in seeing a test case succeed such as Amnesty International (a group I don't always believe in, but will defend thier right to say anything they want and chapion anything they want).

Anyway, more as I know it, they won;t be able to start on this until next April, but she was trying to figure out a way that those of us were locked out via statute of limitation to bring suit against the bastards

This would be similar to them being brought up for war crimes *laugh*

kk, anyway, this is a "late reply" yet I feel I must respond before the conference.

I would love to help with the "housing committee" for a conference next year, so if you need a chair or something, ya'll have my email. I just hope I have enough money. Maybe we can move it back up to VA or NJ next year?

You are an interesting character, but I still don't understand your purpose here.

Ze's a troll, a troll is defined as an internet entity/person who deliberately tries to cause problems on boards and mailing lists and chat rooms. Ignore hir.

Honestly, when fartoogone actually has something actually well thought out to say, I'll most likely miss it, as I've stopped paying attention long ago. Look at how ze managed to derail this thread.
