Open Free for All / Open Challenge to Whooter
« on: November 12, 2010, 08:56:33 PM »
I wanted to save this little nugget before Whooter's time in the corner is over and he's had a chance to edit it and lie about having said it:

Quote
Ha,Ha,Ha Thats funny! This is what I mean about the attention stuff. If someone is going to start spreading lies about me then I will retaliate, yes.

http://http://www.fornits.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=31647&p=386177&hilit=lies#p386177

Here Whooter finally admits that he lies about other posters. The kicker is that he's claiming he only does so as a form of retaliation against lies told about him, the problem being that to my knowledge no lies have ever been told about Whooter .

So here's my challenge to you Whooter: Present the lies you claim have been told about you. If I had any direct involvement either through making the claim myself, or perpetuating it, I will do one of two things; either present evidence to back up the claim, or admit it was a lie. For every claim  you present you must answer for one of your own.

The first person who must admit to having lied or cannot provide corroborating evidence to support his assertion for three seperate claims is declared the loser. The loser must at that point create a thread with the title, "My apology for spreading lies" and must then in said thread not only confess the individual lies told, but apologize to the offended party, and explain the reasoning behind why he lied. In addition he must donate $100.00 to the charity of the winners choice. If he agrees we can use Psy as a proxy.

Now assuming you accept the challenge let's lay down a couple of ground rules:

1. An issue that has already been addressed and admitted to as a mistake does not constitute a lie. Supporting evidence for the apology must be made upon request.

2. There are going to be some comments that are assumed to be a parody, and should be treated as such. That being said you cannot use that as a back door to get out of every lie you have told. If the claim has been made repeatedly over a long period of time, and has supporting comments like: We all know it's a fact that ________. Or the offended party has asked for supporting evidence prior to this conversation then it does not count as parody, and remains a lie until proven otherwise.

3. If you at some point pull your "I'm taking my ball and going home" tactic, the game is ruled a no contest and I am declared the winner. Essentially if you refuse to accept an answer or provide one yourself, refuse to move forward, attempt to attribute comments I had nothing to do with to me, deny obvious evidence, or refuse to take respondsibility for comments you have made, then you lose. If you suddenly back out after two admitted lies then you lose. Psy (again assuming he agrees) will be the final judge.

4. Evidence must meet certain criteria. The following things will not be considered evidence:

a. "Someone told me this was true" Someone must have a username and a link to the comments must be provided.

b. "You said this and then deleted your comment." If you cannot provide a link to the original comment or show where it was quoted by someone other than you at the time in question, chances are it never existed and does not count as evidence.

c "My feeling at the time was that this was true." Feelings are not evidence.

d. "The time stamps are wrong/Deborah must have altered my post" is not an acceptable back door. No one has altered your posts.

e. Editting old posts to cover up lies is not permitted. Any old posts with a recent edit stamp will be viewed as proof of the lie and will count towards the three.

Again Psy will be the final judge in all disputes.

So then whenever you get back from your exile I'll be eager to ehar your thoughts. Of course any rules you'd like to add on your own you are more than welcome to do so. Once everything is agreed upon we can begin. I hope you'll take me up on the offer.

The Troubled Teen Industry / How often do Programmies lie?
« on: November 11, 2010, 03:03:47 PM »
Of course the answer is only when they're talking.

With Whooter John out of the way for time being, I thought we could take this opportunity to have a conversation that isn't trolled or derailed by him right out of the gate.

Post examples of the oft repeated lies programmies tell. I think the first one listed should be the ones they often encourage parents to tell their kids (those who are not kidnapped and brought to their programs anyway). The one that says, "Load up the car, we're going to_____________.

Numerous kids who were incarcerated with me during my year spent at HLA were told they were going to Grandma's, going to the beach, going to Disney World, going any number of places rather than where they were actually going. An abusive kiddie prison.

Is this practice really theraputic or even helpful? Openly encouraging parents to lie to their children in an effort to lock them up? How does this do anything but create mistrust between child and parent. So many of these kids are locked up for being told they constantly lie and manipulate, yet the programmies and parents use the same tactics to get what they want. Somehow the double standard doesnt apply.

The Troubled Teen Industry / Why do programmies have to lie?
« on: October 16, 2010, 04:19:12 PM »
Whooter recently made a thread entitled "Why do Survivors have to lie" . After a brief conversation it was apparent that Whooter was only trying to incite people, as he has zero evidence to support his claim that Survivors lie about being abused.

The fact of the matter is that we have no need to lie about our experiences or the abuse we suffered during our time locked up in programs. The truth is always bad enough. Why would we need to lie?

Now on the other hand, programmies aka child abuse supporters lie all the time. Both while we were locked up, and once we got out. So my question then is why? I mean if they really believe this nonsense about how abusive tactics, and coereced therapy, rationed food, physical, emotional, sexual, and mental abuse, restricted communication, and legal kidnappings are all somehow effective and good, why not be honest about it? Why not stand behind their products and be proud of the nonsense they are spewing out? Why try and lie?

Open Free for All / Claims Whooter John has never backed up
« on: October 02, 2010, 11:08:00 AM »
Given that Whooter John is so fond of making ridiculous assertions or telling out right lies, and then refusing to ever back them up; I thought a single location for his cowardice seemed a good idea. Whooter John hates accountability, and he really hates having to back up his claims. He's under the misguided impression that something is a certain way simply because he says so. He also feels that if he repeats the same lie often enough, it becomes true. He's not quite bright enough to understand that a lie remains a lie no matter how many times you say it.

He fears being forced to own up to his comments, hence why he never backs them up. This thread will not only allow all posters a single venue in which to post lies John has told, but will provide John a chance to finally stand behind the things he has said.

I find the best thing that works with John is letting him know there are consequences for his actions. For the past several weeks I've been initiating contact with some of John's family and coworkers in an effort to bring to light exactly the kind of person he is. What John doesn't know is that the biggest surprise is still to come, and it's one he really won't like.  :seg:

So then, have it at people. Lets force a little accountability on Whooter John. It's all part of a methodology he readily supports. He should have no problem with it.

Here you are Johnny, your very own land fill that you're free to muck up to your hearts content. It seems people are becoming annoyed with you derailing pertinant conversations in your goal from keeping the truth about these places from coming to light. No one seems to find anything you add having any value, and most would prefer you just leave. I on the other hand find you to be hysterical, and I appreciate how you highlight the mindset and behavior of those who would offer to take (and abuse) troubled teens off lazy parents hands.

The Troubled Teen Industry / Goodbye to Who
« on: June 01, 2007, 07:12:53 PM »
Cindy the Who has finally been banned.

Cindy since we know you're reading this, tears streaming down your face, fist clenched in rage, it seemed appropriate to take a moment and say farewell.

No longer will you be allowed to post the same tired nonsense over and over again.

No longer will you be able to use this forum to lie to parents in order to earn yourself referal fees.

No longer will anyone on here ever have to sift through your garbage just to get to the truth.

No longer will people have to watch you derail pertinent conversations simply because youre afraid of the truth.

No longer will people be subject to your cry baby antics or martyr syndrome, no longer does anyone have to watch you avoid the facts or play any of your stupid games.

And while I'm sure youre sad and angry to be forced off, and are still in disbelife since you dont feel you or your kiddie prison pals are subject to other peoples rules, the fact is you are.

Before you disappear entirely I want to also thank you. I cant tell you how many PM's and emails I recieved from parents stating how they were considering sending their kid to a program, until they met you.

Thanks Cindy. All my love, oh and your daughter is still welcome to post here and tell the truth about how you subject her to abuse any time.

Please the rest of you take a moment and wish Cindy a fond farewell and let him know exactly what you think about him.

Cindy one last thing, if you do manage to do end run around things and post here again please know that are now and always shall be a pathetic joke who's as transparent as air. That'll be the case no matter what screen name you post under.

The Troubled Teen Industry / Sopranos Episode
« on: April 30, 2007, 12:18:54 AM »
Did any of you catch The Soprano's tonight?

If not I highly recommend you watch it sometime this week. It had a plot element that we're all familiar with.

Last season one of the main characters was outed as being gay, and was subsequently killed for it, leaving behind a wife and two kids.

Since that time (roughly a year) his son who is around 13-14 has begun acting out and getting into varying degrees of trouble. A large part of the boy's problems seem to stem from abuse he receives at school due to the fact that all his peers know his father was gay.

His mother believes a solution might be to move up to Maine as a means of getting the boy away from a bad environment. She approaches Tony for the money but he feels it might be better to try talking to the boy first. He sends a family member to talk to the boy first (incidentally the same person who killed the boys father to begin with) followed up by making a half hearted attempt himself. When both of these attempts fail to produce real results and Tony cannot come up with the money to help her move he places a phone call.

He recommends one of those "tough love" programs out in Idaho. The mother is reluctant because she's heard that kids are abused in such places. Tony reassures her kids are only hit as a last resort. She then says, "I've heard the reason so many of these places are in Utah and Idaho is because there's no regulation and they're allowed to use corporal punishment."

Eventually she relents and a few scenes later we find the boy asleep in his bed only to be awoken by three grown men who grab him and tell him that he's leaving. They grab some clothes for him and man handle him down the stairs. As his mother is in tears they assure her that shes doing the right thing.

A happy ending over all I thought.

The Troubled Teen Industry / Struggling Teen Trolls hideout
« on: March 20, 2007, 11:28:04 AM »
Since Lon and the gang have gone a bit over the edge and are determined to troll away Fornits, I thought I'd provide a venue for them to regroup and strategize as needed. Enjoy fellas!

The Troubled Teen Industry / Does Fornits accomplish anything?
« on: March 10, 2007, 10:14:40 AM »
There are some new trolls on Fornits who claim we don't accomplish anything here. This troll who enjoys carrying on long conversations with himself has claimed fornits is only for discussion and that we have stiffled even that by curbing Cindy's incessant trolling.

So the question stands do we accomplish anything here?

My vote is yes we do, just ask Bucci how he feels about fornits and that should give you a pretty clear idea of all that we do here.

The Ridge Creek School / Hidden Lake Academy / Back in 2004
« on: December 18, 2006, 09:56:54 AM »
What you have to keep in mind is that while at HLA (at least when I was there) no student truly owned anything. Upon arrival an admintance counselor would escort you to your room and would begin going through all of your stuff with you. Anything deemed inappropriate would be confiscated and suposedly sent home. Anything they allowed you to keep could be confiscated at any moment and sent home. Anything your parents sent you was first rifiled through by staff members and anything they deemed inappropriate was confiscated and possibly sent home. Nothing was out of bounds. Any books that you recieved were "donated" to the library. You were supposedly allowed to get them back upon leaving but it didnt always work out that way. You also had a great deal of theft in the dorms.

As to moving rocks, this was fairly standard. When any general maintaince work couldnt be found we were generally forced to move rocks around a field and or railroad ties.

The Ridge Creek School / Hidden Lake Academy / Manipulations
« on: November 24, 2006, 08:33:34 PM »
Why don't we post a few of the more manipulative tactics employed by HLA staff, both from when we were incarcertated and tricks pulled on here.

For example:

Quote
Since everyone seems to hate so many of the staff that have worked at HLA, I am curious about which ones you all hate the most and why. Or, to make it fair, which ones did you like and why. Let's get some names out there and make it fun.

Now why would an HLA staffer seek to have us list of specific names of staff members we hate?

The Ridge Creek School / Hidden Lake Academy / The little things.....
« on: November 18, 2006, 05:28:17 PM »
In all this talk of law suits and investigations, lack of proper licensure et cetera I think we're leaving out some of those special details about HLA that make it oh so memorable.

Restriction and Work Assignment details

What treasured memories for time on restriction do we all take with us?
