Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / marriage
« on: February 17, 2004, 02:07:00 PM »
I got into several really bad relationships and one long term one. Some of them still have me wondering what the hell I ws thinking. I will be married 8 years on March 9th to a truly wonderful woman. I have no idea why she picked me, but I consider myself very lucky. It's way cool!

I'm glad I didn't marry any of those brain-dead witches.

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / question about relationships
« on: February 05, 2004, 03:07:00 PM »
Only after extensive therapy and a lot of effort was I able to form a lasting sexual relationship. Yes, I lay a lot of the blame for this at the feet of straight as many of the things straight taught were showing love and concern are far from it.

Bunch of whiners!!!!"

Is this truly the best you can do, Anon? Truly?!

I think cayohueso and kpickle hit the nail right on the head and the best you can come up with is a bunch of little icons crying?

How pathetic must be your life when you have to gain attention by actively seeking negative feedback. I can name quite a few people who lurk here who are doctor's, IT Guru's and numerous other professionals who have spent years pulling their heads out of their asses and dealt with the BS that straight placed there. To call us a bunch of whiners shows a serious lack of judgement on you behalf. (Not that I am convinced a person less socialized than my dogs is capable of such judgement.) It has taken me years to finally figure out what was really wrong with me and to clear the conditioned behaviours out. I continue to have issues with the conditioning from time to time and can say the abuse I recieved at the hands of straight has adversly affected all my interpersonal relationships.

Further, I don't need to know the name of a pathetic little loser such as yourself. If you had been in straight, you know that many persons got their little blue chair for no reason other than the person's parents brought them in the front office. I signed myself into that hell hole, only to discover that once there, there was no way out. Even for people over 18.

So, you above average stupy, it is indeed yourself whom is in need of a life and not vice-versa. I'd advise using the 5 criteria (You know, "Is it based on objective reality," and all that other BS.) before you next speak and perhaps a little "Think, think, think," and "Easy Does it!"

PS For those saner indivduals on this board, God I can't believe I remember half this shit sometimes!

I was getting ready for work this AM and remembered something. How many of y'all remember grasping the lip of your little blue chair to sit up or something only to put your fingers in the big nasty booger the previous occupant had wiped there?

Still grosses me out!

Amen to that, Ms. Hedwigfan. This is one of the things I watch as it coincides with the father's rights issue I am so fond of. Here are a couple of links to stuff:

I kind of like Wendy McElroy's opinions...

I have never liked the comparason to what happened in Nazi Germany to straight. I have always believed it was closer to the experience of US POW's in Vietnam and Wes's comparason to the events in China under Mao. I agree that Melvin Sembler deserves as much respite as HIS treatment centers allowed the clients. In there I was forced to abandon church, eat pork and other unclean foods, amongst the many other physical and psychological tortures. I think Mel and Co. have gotten off extremely lightly for what they have done. I believe any stress we can add to this "poor" man's life is more than justified. I believe his ancestor's who may have died in the Holocaust are ashamed and could care less if he grieves over them. In fact, I imagine they wish he'd just shut-up.

Now, all that being said, I saw the pictures of the protest in front of the Holocaust museum and thought, "Oh, Geez!" I am not sure this was the best place to do this. I think it should be a place free from politics and a place of quiet reflection. I also know that Mel presents not many opportunities in the US. Therefore, I am torn as to what would be a better place to increase public awareness of his pesonal sponsorship of wrong doing.

And the stuff grows wild all over TX.  Also heard you could get high off of morning glory seeds.

I worked at a boys reform school and they were putting nutmeg in their koolaid trying to get high.

When I was 14 or 15 me & Todd Townley smoked oregano trying to get high.  I think we rolled it in notebook paper. "

Not sure I'd believe much that came out of those old police propaganda films...

Reagon Youth:

Considering I quit doing that kind of thing quite some time ago, I wouldn't know. I imagine, however, you could find it at a Rat Dog or other Grateful Dead spin-off, Phish, or Bare Naked Ladies concert to name a few. Smart ass!

Thing is, MMoore tries real hard to come across as todays Everyman, but it is farther from the truth. MMoore is one of the people who travels in chartered airplanes or first class only, expects perks at the hotels he's staying and in reality has no time for the common guy. Women may be a different matter. Use your imagination.

Actually for a guy who exposes gov't waste. I can't remember his name, but he gives out the Bird Award to the biggest wasters of public funds for that year. A quick search reavealed no hits, but I did find this:

http://www.cagw.org/site/PageServer?pagename=news_Blog

As far as MMoore, his intellectual dishonesty and disingenious use of editing, staging events to suit his purpose while supposedly deilvering neutral documentations of events is as pathetic as the man himself. Either be an entertainer or a documentator, bear in mind, however, he cannot be both. There can be entertaining documentaries, but fabrication is fiction.

Yes I am tired of the Homeland BS also. I do not like ANY of the restrictions of freedom that have come with the homeland security BS. All that suff to prevent planes from being taken over is BS. Hell there's almost no way to even scramble a fighter and get in into shooting position before an airliner is over a populated area. One would have to be very unlucky to get there in time. All this loss of freedom is just that and does nothing to make me or the US more secure.
