You are right, it was a horrible fucking place (Ft. Lauderdale 73-74).  I don't think there was much difference from one Seed to the next.  I was there; you were there; the owners were there; and the staff members  were there, too.  And I can't think of an instance, not then and not on this discussion board, where one of the tyrants ever acknowledged that they thought about what they were doing and saying.  I can't recall reading anything on the discussion boards, but if I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will let me know.

It took me about 35 years to understand how really fucking angry I was about what happened to me and another year or two beyond that dredge it all up and come to terms with all of it.  Be glad you are not among those poor Seed bastards who have never found the need to evolve beyond that  programming. Maybe later, much later, it might be easier to hate them less and pitty them more.  

There probably won't be Truth and Reconcilliation Commission for The Seed, Inc., but there ought to be.   I'm here for you.  Stripe

Back in 2005 I filed a FOIA request with the FBI for its records on Art Barker and The Seed.  The response I received was that information, if any, would not be released until Art Barker was dead.  I have my response letter I'm waiting to make that request again.

I never pursued a FOIA on the The Seed program by itself.  Maybe it's time to try that.

Okay, please just consider this.  I don't know how old your children are, but I am guessing that you both had your children vaccinated sometime after 1990 otherwise, you would not be speaking in terms of IEP's and school meetings, and teachers, etc.  

Most folks are not aware of the levels of mercury used in the childhood (MMR, DPT, etc.) vacines.  If my memory serves me correctly, it's used as a preservative in the vaccine.  

I had my son (age 26 now) vaccinated starting in 1982 and he was pretty much finished with all of the "requireds" by 1984/1985. I think we were able to sneek by on the last round of shots until he got busted at college this term.

Anyway, the point is, in the mid to late 1980's (85-87) was when "they" started using mercury as a preservative. Now I'm writing just from memory so  please do your own research on this.  

Check out the most common symptoms of mercury poisoning.  You may be surprized.  Heck if you are willing to forego the drug treatment the physicians are recommending for your kids and seek alternatives, look into what might be the root cause fist.

Chelation therapy might help - and that can be done either by blood cleaning or with supplements or both.  Much depends, I think, on the toxicity level of the metal(s) involved.  Senator Kennedy (not Teddy) has done some great work on this issue.  check out the research and good luck.  I hope this is somewhat helpful.

I been good - no crises - heck not even any little bumps. the string broke on the weedwacker and my summer garden failed - producing one small yellow squash valued at $47.83 - not to mention labor...That's the way I like it.  

Oh! Hey I do have some good news. I found find a little baby kitten the other morning last month so now I have a new kitty named Kittymus Prime. Since I found the kitty in the street my husband has taken to telling people I trash-picked my new pet.  Well, I 'spose that's the truth.  He says he's just being HONEST but I think he's  running program on me trying to wear me down and keep me on the front row.... :roll:

Personally, that's been my contention for quite a while. Trying to live a life "recovering" from something - who the hell knows. Problematic to say the least. I pretty sure my parents would not have opted to treat a broken arm by amputation, but that's pretty much what the "cure" amounted to for me. Perhaps a bit over the top as analogies go, but I think the point is fairly clear.  

So many of the kids who passed through the warehouse doors were never broken in the first place.  For others, like yourself, there was NO WAY drug rehab programming could have ever addressed or helped you repair the harm inflicted on you by other people.  But there was money to be made and lives to saved.  

Thirty some years have passed and It's not any different now - unless you consider the fact that there are professionals who can apparently make money on all aspects of the programs - site purchasing, building construction and refurbishment, referral, enrollment, transport/kidnapping and even deprogramming.  Actually, as hard it is to recall the events and all of the emotion and other poo that goes along with remebering, this site is a pretty cool place to start to work it out. I was in FTL on SR 84 sarting 3/73 and involved I think maybe a year - maybe less.
