Even the media is lying about the "fake" football team at Diamond Ranch Academy in the 2012 season preview http://www.deseretnews.com/article/8655 ... eview.html

After reading about the horror stories from people who were in DRA, it's all a lie. Is the Utah news stations even aware of the lies they put out? Or are they being bribed to wright a false news article by those sicko's who run the place? If anyone can contact the author or Desert News that one kid died in the program that would be great.

The Troubled Teen Industry / States with the Most Neglect
« on: January 30, 2012, 02:25:42 AM »
The troubled teen industry should NOT be an industry of it's own because facilities trick the child and the parents into thinking that it's going to be like a normal boarding school with being able to do anything they love to do. In reality, it takes away all freedom and abuse residents who will likely miss out on once in a lifetime opporitunities. The therapy that is used is not approved by the mainstream community and centers around both mental and physical abuse that often goes unreported until the resident dies. Although Utah seems to have the most facilities, which state has the MOST incidents of abuse and deaths in these programs?

My best bet would be Texas as it's ultra conservative laws allow anyone regardless of experience and criminal background to work with the youth in these programs and use any method they wish for the sole purpose of training them like they are in a P.O.W. camp.

The Troubled Teen Industry / a.k.a Black Market Industry
« on: December 31, 2011, 02:36:56 AM »
Like the illegal drug trade, the whole troubled teen industry should be banned. This doesn't mean stop all youth psychiatric and drug treatment, just putting them in mainstream care which is the same kind used for adults and inmates. What it does mean is that it should not even be an industry at all. The reason behind this is that the concept of emotional growth is using non-traditional methods of rehabilitation which is what the industry is centered on. It falls under the concept of "earning the right to be human" or "do or die" for the purpose of changing behavior. This is considered pseudoscience from 70 - 60 years ago that has not been recongnized by the scientific community. These practices are abusive and sometimes even fatal as some of them NEVER listen to the students request or have innapropriate punishments that last way too long (aka cruel and unusual punishment)
