Halloween at straight??
« on: October 28, 2002, 05:14:00 PM »
I was buying halloween candy and outfits for the kids the other day and thought back to straight.  In Atlanta I remember a haunted house in the carpet room.  The only recollection of St Pete halloween was being forbidden to open the door for trick or treaters...
...why I have no idea.
Anybody got any good stories.  I remember somebody in rap going on about satanism and halloween.  Am I hallucinating about the haunted house in Atl 1982?

Sorry Bill, no good stories but if you hallucinated the haunted house, guess I did, too. They had one set up in VA in 82 and 83. One girl, who worked in a "real" haunted house over in Ocean City, MD before the program didn't want to go in it. But of course they made her anyway. She was very upset by it. Several people were slightly injured going thru the thing. Oldcomers and 7th Steppers were jumping out and pushing people. I did learn that carving a pumpkin with a spork is damn near impossible - not that I really needed to know that.

I got one..... on 1st phase in 1990 I was made to dress up as a giant Sponge with FOS spray painted across a Full Size Bed Egg Crate. I was ridiculed all day & ripped in every rap. My Old Comers who came up with the idea got a huge kick off of it.

Later after being shredded all day for being a shmuck, I was awarded Straight Dallas Halloween costume winner. What a big honor, I am sure I got an extra piece of pizza on Friday or a big kick in the ass for the prize.

Halloween night at Plymouth was actually not too bad, the host parents came to the building and each one passed out candy and lined up along the inside walls of the building and all of the phasers went to each of them with a bag and they gave us candy.
We carved pumpkins with a plastic spoon the oldcomers got to use plastic knives. The pumpkins were soft and kinda old so it was easy to carve.
However, my oldcomers that night at my host home took my candy and didn't allow me to eat any, so that really sucked, but that night we didn't have a rap session and we got to leave when we were done getting our candy.
I was excited anyway cuz I ended up signing out of there 7 days later.. lol

I am straight hear me roar, zippeddeeedooodaaa, oh yea, it's all comin back. Those songs, having to sit up straight, the blue chairs. They tried to make us feel good on halloween with pumpkins and crap. I remember having to sit on the floor of the in the gandy warehouse and carve pumkins. I also remember william rollins rollin up a bunch of hooters and passin them out. Too bad the doobies were fake. He always came up with weird raps. Always sayin he can tell how good you feel about yourself just by the shine on your face. He mindfucked a bunch of us.

Just about the only real joy I had during my program was from pissing people off by not getting pissed off. Whenever an oldcomer or anyone would accuse me of being a sponge, I'd always just agree. Then suggest that, if I were you, I'd tell me to hit the road!

From what I heard about 4 months ago, William is divorced from Alice Bowen  AKA  ThePersonFromStraightThatIHateTheMost  and still living in St. Pete. Oh, his number is listed, in case anyone wants to call.
