While it is true that "nature" has a way of leveling things, how can you be sure that "nature" doesn't employ that which is the problem (human ideals of control through violence) to defeat the problem (human ideals of violence through control). Perhaps someone abducting and returning the favor to those that proliferate this type of behavior is exactly "nature's" plan.

It is the human animal's nature to exact revenge. Never be deluded into thinking that you are nothing more than an animal. What the "Straights" did could be considered a crime against humanity... certainly a crime against children. But to not put an immediate and undeniable end to this could be considered a crime against nature itself. Your job as a good little monkey is to further your gene pool. You do this.. and you protect that end. Straight kills children spiritually and sadly in some cases literally. Perhaps those that committed suicide would have anyway.. but Straight-like programs have to seriously be considered a factor.

So here you have this institution that works directly against nature.. you have a genetic obligation to put an end to it. You may think that doing it "the right" way is the only "civilized" thing to do... Fuck civilization. In the grand scheme of things, our "civilization" is exactly what spawned this creature to begin with. If someone were to select a proper weapon and have the training to use it excellently, from a good distance, as well as the stealth training to exit the scene without detection, one after another of the criminals could be taken out. No, not today. Maybe one day, after the trials. Mean time, we need a whole lot more people to understand wtf is going on in order to get the first real trial going. Their ability to commit future crimes would be seriously hindered if they were dead. Better yet, if they were subjected to the same anguish and powerlessness that were thrust upon many that frequent here, perhaps with their newfound perspective on reality they would have a change of heart.

Sadly I can't agree that public awareness will make any difference. It will be like any other hyped up media story... all the rage until something more important comes up in the media. I would say our decision to goto war with another soverign state (unconstitutionally and dare I say dangerously close to illegally) is far more significant to the population at large, but if you take a moment to notice current American events today, you'll find such monumental subjects as Michael Jackson's trial, Steroids in the ballpark and the appointment of some ultraconservative dinosaur to the seat of power within the Holy Sea.

Get a clue.. talk is talk. Nothing you say will make a frog's fart bit of difference. If you think you have what it takes to scream louder than the propaganda that is pumped out by the War on Drugs, by all means.. make some noise. Ultimately that is the obstacle you have to overcome.

Personally, I prefer to cut my losses. My children have nothing to fear from these people. I teach them to question authority. Critical thinking is a lost art. And should they get themselves into a situation that could potentially harm them, people will find out exactly how much of an animal I am. As I've said before, I'm not sure what I would do should I cross my former captors. Vengeance seems applicable, but I really can't say for sure. There is really no reason for me to spend that kind of energy on "them" anymore. "They have sucked enough life out of me. Should they try to do so again my position will have to change.

I have the utmost respect for your take on it. You play in their ballfield. As long as you do, you don't have a prayer of making a significant difference. You either need to re-write the rules, or make your own game. I did.
