They don't do anything unusual as far as I am aware.  Not like the wilderness programs with their pseudo-Native American rituals.  They just wear fancy dress and get handed their worthless certificates while the parents clap.

Here is a picture:

I was just curious because of the fact that they might be a very uplifting and exciting, not to mention emotional experience that has the power to boost the public relations aspect of the program through the roof, and in turn be a wonderful referral aspect of the WWASPS industry.

Any more specific details?

Who attends beside the parents of graduates?

I heard from a graduate the wwasp graduations are no big deal. Just your parents, siblings and the director of the facility and other staff. They have a few balloons and teddy bears if parents bring stuff, but as far as I'm told it's not really a big deal or anything.

As far as obtaining PR materials from parents, they do that in seminars. They get people to write the weirdest stuff.

Basically, you listen to a speaker (one of the graduates). The only people who got any sort of certificate that I am aware of were those who graduated high school. If oyu graduated high school, you wear a cap and gown and walk the isle to get a certificate. And as much as one hates the program, I worked my ass off to finish high school and did 3 years of high school in 15 months and graduated wiht a 3.5 gpa. And the high school certificates were not invalid or anything. I got into college just as if I had never gone to a program and had attended a "normal" high school.

That's because it is independent study. My child completed 50 units of credit in five months in a real high school Independent study - this was necessary because Provo Canyon School did not allow her to go to school and messed up her senior year.
