Who can make a website for archival material related to Stra
« on: August 04, 2005, 09:04:00 PM »
Say I had a bunch of old newspaper articles and court cases related to Straight, Inc. What I want to do is get them on a website that is just archives, and is really easy for people to search for stuff, like have a search thing and an index, and also maybe have some intuitive flow to the set-up when all is done. I would like to be obsessively posting these articles to this website as soon as possible because people working on things need the information. I started one of those free blogs and I was going to put everything there, but I don't really see it being a good outline for the purpose at hand.

First we need donated server space. Second, someone with the time and the talent to do this now.

I can give you space.

Zany fun. It was a first - even Ben Franklin never arranged for something like this, and he was full of himself.

Is it possible to scan them in so they're real text, and not a pdf or whatever?

Yes, I know what you mean, the pdf files aren't copy/paste friendly. It may be that some documents come that way, but it would be cool to eventually have text versions of everything.

I have only ever put up a one-page website. I don't have technical knowledge. Is there a template out there I could get, so I can organize this stuff on my computer, and then upload it? What I have now is NoteTaker, which is an interesting format, and there is a way to make it into a website, but I don't know if that would turn out to be the best format. It has a cool indexing thing though.

Thanks, Ginger, for the space!

Sincerely,
Straight Inc Archives

Miller Newton touched my junk liberally. He strapped me in to his Straightmobile and he
couldn't keep his offensive hands off of me. He was performing many red flag touches. I
couldnt believe what the fuck was going on. I told Miller Newton the city would not approve
of a millionaire touching an underage kid for free. Can you believe it? Miller Newton did all this. He picked me off the street, strapped my arms and legs down in the Straightmobile's passenger seat, and just wouldn't stop fondling my cock'n'balls.
They definately were red flag touches. The goddamn referee he had in the back seat kept on
raising up this red flag every time he touched my junk but did "Dr." Newton care? NO WAY!! He
just kept on doing it. I couldn't believe what the fuck was going on, indeed. I pleaded with
Miller Newton but to no avail. I told him the city would not approve of such a wealthy man
touching an underage kid like me (at the time I was 13 years old) without at least compensating me for
the trauma and the use of my body as his own personal plaything.
This got to him, worrying about his image. He continued to fondle me, all the while ignoring
the referee's red flags. Then he drove the Straightmobile to my house and ejected the seat I was in! It was amazing. But surprisingly, after I woke up the next morning, my bank account had $150k in it!!!
!!! Can you believe it??????

If you must publish image files instead of text, Adobe Photoshop does a good job of squeezing them down to the smallest practical filesize. I think it's the "file" menu that has the option "publish for web".

It is the old practice of despots to use a part of the people to keep
the rest  in order; and those who have once got an ascendency and possessed themselves of  all the resources of the nation, their revenues and offices, have immense means  for retaining their advantages.
--Thomas Jefferson to John  Taylor, 1798
