The teenagers today are using far less illegal drugs than when I was a teen in the 70s and early 80s. The only difference is that meth is more widespread in the rural areas than when I was a kid. Kids are going to drink, they are going to smoke, and they are going to experiment with drugs. Its almost an unspoken law. HOwever, the only time that intervention is needed is when that drug use gets them in trouble with the law, effects their home life, gets them bad grades, and when they steal etc to buy drugs because of having an addiction. Casual pot smoking and drinking from a keg at a keg party in NO way should be considered an excuse to stick some poor child in an abusive situation. The first place to look for intervention should be with the parents. Let them take some responsibility. If they cant handle it then there are legitimate places to help break the addiction cycle. But you, Mr(notice I didnt say DR) Newton, have proven that you are unfit to run a facility without scandal or lawsuit or abuse, and why you continue to try to open schools when you are obviously clueless on how a decent one is run is beyond me. You are either a greedy bastard or crazy as hell. Either way, you have no credibility in the therapy circles and should never be given a license to treat children. By the way, how many addictions do you and your co-horts have? you know....smoking and alcohol are far more damaging and addictive than marijuana. Just because they are legal doesnt mean youre not a "druggie". Get a clue. Nobody wants to attend your "SIBS" place and nobody will trust your techniques with the past you drag behind you. Just because you call us druggies doesnt mean youre not a loser. Look in the mirror dude. 75% of people posting here dont do drugs and are adults, not teens.
