With the period, or without?

I like without. It's easier for me to read somehow.

Without works for my eyes too, but the period gives it a seriousness. Hmmm... Decisions, decisions. I really like the red too. It's extra cash, but I really like it. Anyway, any other thoughts about it would be great. I mean like, do you guys like it? You can definitely read it just fine. It?s a stern looking font. That font is this German sounding font, "Haettenschweiler" or something. I wonder where that came from...

I had an idea. How about the URL on the back and the statement on the front? I'd still like to use the straight = crooked thing too.

ISAC, do you approve?

Periods aside, I think it looks just fine as it is right now. I see no need to 'muddy the waters' with more input.. -Alex

I vote for the periods. Makes it  clear that P.O.W. is an acronym and not a Batman graphic.

Try a font without the italics (slant). The Impact font is a good classic. I'm fond of Courier myself, but it's been done to cliche already.

Also, (cue grammar bore)  the line should read "Still More Do"

PS - If you can post the name of the font  you used (the actual spelling is important )I can probably give you some of its history.

Just because you do not take an interest in politics, doesn't mean politics won't take an interest in you.

I really like the font in italics. That is the correct spelling. So "more still do" is incorrect grammar, huh?

I also thought that "more still do" didn't sound quite right.....BUT it does make sense that way. I really don't know about the correct way, "still more do." I think it should be rephrased entirely in lieu of that..

now this will complicate things so really should be an idea for the future not this round of shirts, but i was thinking it would be good to say it is child POWs, also that it would make an impact to say how many children have died in any of the boot camps, straights, whatever, even have a list of names schools and dates of death on a black shirt. if sticking to just Straight, the suicides. another idea was to have a picture of Bush, Sembler, Newton, Riddile or whoever and the caption could be something well someone else say what the caption could read

I once saw a shirt that had a long list of names in small type.  It  worked.
The operative idea was that a stranger close enough to read the list was also close enough to the wearer for conversation.
The disadvantage was that the shirt was unreadable at a distance.
Worked as a springboard for discussion rather than a billboard

Come to the woods, for here is rest. There is no repose like that of the green deep woods. Here grow the wallflower and the violet. The squirrel will come and sit upon your knee, the logcock will wake you in the morning. Sleep in forgetfulness of all ill. Of all the upness accessible to mortals, there is no upness comparable to the mountains.

I did a "grammar check" and it told me there were no suggestions, meaning nothing was wrong. I changed it to, "Thousands have suffered, more still do."

So, I'm probably sticking with that.

Is that okay with everyone? Is anyone going to buy these if I have them made?

Do we have a memorial list of names that I could use on the back of the shirt? Would I need to get permission from each family to use them?
