And if you didn't support the Sudweeks 100%, would you feel the need to hide it?
That's the million dollar question here. Why is this such an "us against them" thing? What's with the rumors of the police, Mexicans, former students and parents all out to get them? Doesn't that seem a little fishy to you?
BTW, how did you hear about Whitmore in the first place?

"inappropriate" was because the Sudweeks decided that she couldn't call them.
And lots of people never get their things back if they don't leave on the Sudweek's terms.

According to the Sudweeks, the Nephi Police are liars and are OUT TO GET THEM.
The citizens of Mexico kill their horses, and want to hurt them too. Any former students and their parents that speak against them, ARE THE ENEMY AND ARE OUT TO DESTROY THEM. Now just why is the whole world against such wonderful, loving caring people? Might the Sudweeks be the "little drummer couple that is out of step with the rest of the world?" Ever hear that song?

Ginger, a person does not have to "hide it if they are not supporters of the Sudweeks."
But public non-supporters of the Sudweeks do have to be prepared for a few things, like being called horrific, slanderous names in public by "the Sudweek supporters" who don't even have the nerve to use THEIR names publicly, but you know what they say about "stick and stones....."
Sudweeks Non-Supports have to receive phone calls from rather scary people like Ben McQuivey-- a friend of the Sudweeks, and the Karate "teacher" at Whitmore. Wonder how HE got our home telephone number to call and bother us on a Saturday night? And WHY? But the Nephi Police Department helped us out there, and he hasn't called back.
And we did have our computer "hacked into" and that was rather frightening, AND expensive to get correct! WHOEVER did that sent a bunch of emails "FROM ME" to a Whitmore parent (at least one that I know of)...and accused ME of breaking into to Whitmore computer system and other accusations. Perhaps they just needed me offline awhile. It did take hours and hours to fix it all. But we have a secure system now, just never knew I needed all that before.
Non-Supporters of the Sudweeks have to be able to face the scrutiny of accusations of being a child abuser, child molester themeselves--because that happens to deflect the allegations the Sudweeks are facing.
Why, I have even been accused of trying to seduce Cheryl's husband--Mark Sudweeks, with "sexy photographs of myself" which he LIED ABOUT--I never sent this man any picture of myself---and IT IS SAID he shared with minor children at Whitmore.
Non-Supporters must defend themselves against many lies: It has been report that I have been RECENTLY fired from my job (I haven't had a job since 1997--but guess than FACT doesn't matter). And I suppose everyone has read the topic THE TRUTH WILL PREVAIL, where Mark Sudweeks lied about me and the Nephi Police Dept, and the non-existing police "report."
So Ginger, you don't have to HIDE being a non-supporter of the Sudweeks, but you do have to be prepared for a lot of things!

Many of the kids placed at Whitmore were and are abused. I am glad your child came away from the experience "apparently" okay. Or maybe you haven't really heard what goes on there. Did your child get the education promised? Did your child get consistent one-on-one therapy? Did your child get "group therapy" led by a "licenced professional?" Did your child get the travel experience to Canada and Mexico? Did your child get "equine therapy" with someone qualified in that area? Did your child get three meals a day?
These are the things the Sudweeks say they offer. None are true. Plain and simple -- fraud!! We paid for something that we did not get. And we certainly did not pay for abuse, in any way, shape or form. If it only happens to one child out of 100, it is still wrong. I don't understand why you support anyone, regardless of how your child appears to have been affected, when others have been abused under their care.

People who support the Sudweeks say "there was no abuse at Whitmore--one poster even said something to the effect, there were no broken bones, or blood all over, and even went so far as to imply parents should be happy our kids got "out Whitmore alive."
Many people may need to understand just what abuse is, and just what kinds of behaviors are JUST NOT OK.
IT is not OK for Cheryl Sudweeks to spit in a student's face--that is abuse!
It is not OK for Cheryl Sudweeks to curse a student, and call her sexual names like "slut, whore," or racial slurs like "nigger" or "sand nigger"--that is abuse.
It is not OK for either Sudweeks to inappropriately touch any student on any private part of their body; or to talk to them about sexually inappropriate things--that is abuse.
It is not OK for either Sudweeks to order one student to beat up another student--that is abuse.
It is not OK to force students to watch another student who is tied and gagged being beat by a group of students who were ordered to beat this boy by Cheryl Sudweeks--just being made to observe this event is abuse.
It is not OK to punish minor children by Cheryl Sudweeks refuses to let a child eat a regular meal, and forces this hungry child to watch the other kids eat--that is abuse.
It is not OK for Cheryl Sudweeks to physically punch, or slap, or hit a kid with any object--that is abuse.
These are just a few examples. And no bones were probably broken, and no one probably bled all over the place, and everyone lived through it---but it is and WAS ABUSE, and everyone needs to stop dancing around the issue, and say exactly what these people did to their child--- while they were suppose to be offering a quality education and professional therapy in what the person who referred us there, Sue Scheff of P.U.R.E. assured us were loving, Christian, caring owners, THE SUDWEEKS!
