If there's a worse idea going than locking kids up for victimless crimes, it's probably locking them in close proximity to some tyrannical altruist bent on helping them whether they need it or not.

How to spread the word Couple of things you can do to get the word out:


1) See if your email program provides for a signature line. (most of them do). And put a word and link in your signature. Mine looks like this:

3) Try and get some mention in the local or other newspapers. This is a whole lot easier than your might think.


Right now, drug courts and treatment are a hot topic in the news. See conference@trebach.org)


Newspaper editors don't get as much mail as you might think and generally publish about 1 in 6 submissions. Keep it very brief if you want ink, 200 - 300 words. And just crib from published LTEs (Letters to editors) for form and style. Basically, reference the article or letter you're responding to by headline and date then say whatever you've got to say on the topic. I've just posted a target piece to direstraights.
