you are lucky it was only your shoes! I had a gold and ruby ring that my grandfather had made for me (he was a jeweler) and a gold chain with my initial on it stolen. Gee no one had any idea what happened to them...so obviously some one stole them which is pretty sad seeing that they meant a lot to me. It sounds fishy to me too, since Elan 7 is not that huge of a place, but one one could ever find them again. hmmm....[ This Message was edited by: Alicat on 2005-01-29 07:23 ]

I remember that? I can't believe they were never found. I realized when I left elan, that I had none of the origional clothes or shoes from the first year I was there. Except this pair of Chucks that I still have. It's weird I marked dates on those shoes the nights I pulled, untill I pulled so many times there was no room left. Staff would always be like are you writing on your shoes, and everytime I would say...No that was on there when I got here...Even though it kept filling up with more and more numbers. Just a random thought. I swear someone Did see Gregs shoes on the nightguard once. Or maybe someone was just joking.

OMG, Maren I remember that, they were Vans, and I remember you telling me that Claire that it was cute that you were writing the months on your sneakers.

The weirdest thing that happened to me in elan is my sweater story.  I was practing for the talent show up in the Coordinators office, I think it was the C.O. it was the office directly above the staff office.  It was only Kara, me, and Anna up stairs at the time.  We went across the hall to the other office (dirctly across the hall) to grab something, came back to the C.O, and the first thing I noticed was my sweater went missing, it was a really nice sweater my mom got me for x-mas, and I was furious because I knew I left it there and it was gone, and no one else had come up since we were there, so there was no explaination as to where it had gone.

Needless to say I search both offices, couldn't find it anywhere.  Months past, and I forgot about my sweater.  One night when I was pulling with Jim B I went to make a run, and when I got back to take back post I turned my back around to the stairs, and there was my sweater on the bottom step, the next day I interregated Jim about it, but he had no idea.  I know you all are going to think I'm crazy, but I have blame it on the elan 8 ghost.  The ghost loved to fuck with me.

I cried when I had no shoes,
until I met a man with no feet,
and took his shoes because he didn't need them.
