Over the last few days i been workin' my way through this 3 record set that i picked up at one of my landscapin' jobs.  It was a leftover from a garage sale!  i got it for free.

Now 'ol' on...i wanna do this right...
..get my ganja and start the song over...get the timin' right...

...

O.K....this is gonna be fun...

It's like one of those records that would've been advertised on the TV in about 1979.  Yes, i jus' looked, that is the copyright date.  And Now!! availible only from this limited TV offer...it's "Original Gold" by Sessions...

Record One:

side 1:
Carly Simon - "You're So Vain"  (right on!!kinda arrogant yourself though, 3 starry eyes)
The Righteous Brothers - "(You're My) Soul and Inspiration"
Arlo Guthrie - "City of New Orleans" (4 stars outta 5)
Prelude - "After the Goldrush"(the other day when i was blitzed i thought it was Neil Young)
Joan Baez - "the Night They Drove Ol' Dixie Down"(4 stars)

side 2:
Seals and Crofts - "Get Closer"
Alice Cooper - "You and Me"
Orleans - "Dance with me"
Flying Machine - "Smile A Little Smile For Me"
Gary Wright - "Love Is Alive"

Record Two:

side 1:
Linda Ronstadt - "You're No Good" (Unh!!unh,unh, Mm,Mmm!!)
ABBA - "Knowin' Me, Knowin' You"
The Association - "Windy"
Candi Station - "Young Hearts Run Free"
Spinners - "They Just Can't Stop It the(Games People Play)"

side 2:
New York City - "I'm Doin' Fine Now"
Aretha Franklin - "Until You Came Back To Me (That's What I'm Gonna Do)"
Hot - "Angel In Your Arms"
The Staple Singers - "Let's Do It AgAin" (*****)
Dionne Warwick and The Spinners - "Then Came You"

Record 3:

side 1:
Samantha Sang - "Emotion"  (You know the one written by the Gibb brothers and then i think a couple o' years ago Destinys' Child covered it and it was actually pretty cool. i mean that's a song that really caters to the vocals, Great starry-eyed tune from the late 70S)
Diana Ross - "Theme From Mahogany(Do You Know Where Your Going To ??"
Tim Moore - "Second Avenue"
David Soul - "Don't Give Up On Us"(David Soul from "Starsky and Hutch" ??)
Manfred Manns' Earth Band - "Blinded By The Light"(4 stars)

Side 2:
England Dan and John Ford Coley - "I'd Really Love To See You Tonight"(overrated)
John Sebastian - "Welcome Back"(Kotter, 3 and a half stars)
Todd Rundgren - "I Saw The Light"(another good song, i dunno...3 and a half...4 stars...??)
Lobo - "Me and You and a Dog Named Boo"
Albert Hammond - "It Never Rains In Southern California"

That's it!!

Altogether a pretty nice archive of 1970S pop music.

If you would have justice in this world, then begin to see that a human being is not a means to some end.  People are not commodities.  When human beings are just to one another government becomes obsolete and real freedom is born; SPIRITUAL ANARCHY.

...'ol' on...find my ganja...patience, my friends...patience.

From Sessions' "Origina Gold"(vinyl):

A)"Let's Do It Again" - Staple Singers
B)"Angel In Your Arms" - Hot
C)"Then Came You" - Dionne Warwick and the Spinners

Reconstruction, 6/16/79, Keystone, Palo Alto, CA - "When The Hunter Gets Captured By The Game"

Commodores - "This Is Your Life"(vinyl)

Ben Harper, from the album, "Fight For Your Mind": "Burn One Down" 'n' "Excuse Me Mister"

At this point i put the speaker in the window and moved to the backyard.  My buddy and i were drinkin' some beer in the bright November Sun.

Robert Palmer - Sneakin' Salley thru the Alley(all the way thru in it's entirety):
1)"Sailin' Shoes"
2)"Hey Julia"
3)"Sneakin' Salley Through The Alley"
4)"Get Outside"
5)"Blackmail"
6)"How Much Fun"
7)"From A Whisper To A Scream"
)"Through It All There's You"
[Every song on this album rules!!  This is a kick-ass collection of slow and funky blues(some bad ass harmonica and bass).  A Great album!, Check it out if you like 70S funk and blues.]

String Cheese Incident - 4/17/02, Louisville, KY,
disc 3:
1)"Missin' Me">>
2)"Outside and Inside"
3)"Freedom Jazz Dance"
4)"Search"

Boz Scaggs - the album, "Silk Degrees"

Then we came back in.

String Cheese Incident - 4/17/02(as referenced earlier): "Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours"(i think this is a Stevie Wonder Cover)

George Harrison - self-titled solo album(1979),cassette bought at the Salvation army last year,79 cents.

Paul Simon with Urubamba and the Jesse Dixon Jazz Singers, "In Concert"(vinyl)
1)"Mother and Child Reunion"
2)"The Sound Of Silence"
3)"Jesus Is The Answer"
(Another righteous record.  Performed live circa 1973.  Paul simon and some excellent gospel/jazz singers, easy 5 star).

Right now it's Tuesday.  i' got the Average White Band on the turntable - the album "Soul Searching"

Avg. White Band ended.  Now i'm listenin' to some crazy ol' sorta modern jazz record that i bought at the Salvation Army jus' this summer.  It's a live performance.

Cal Tjader - "At Grace Cathedral"

This is what the back of the album says:

"side 1:

1. I Showed Them
2.Bluesology(Milt Jackson)

side 2:

1. Black Orpheus Medley:Carnaval/Samba de-Orfeu
2.Body And Soul
3.Theme

Cal Tjder - vibes,timbales
Lonnie Hewitt - electric piano
Rob Fisher - acoustic bass
Pete Riso - drums
Panch Sanchez - congas

Recorded in concert performance at Grace Cathedral, San Fransisco; May 22,1976.

Cal Tjder performed at the Concerts for the Hungry benefit at Grace Cathedral as a short-notice replacement for his friend, the late pianist Vince Guaraldi.  Cal considers it most fitting, particularly in view of the fact that Guaraldi himself had recorded at Grace Cathedral some years ago, to dedicate this album to the memory of Vince Guaraldi."

aAnh, then it goes on with special thanks: a list of names.

Sounds like side 1 is over.

The Velvet Underground.

I'm home cooking for tomorrow.

Never underestimate the power of the status quo...America's schools are part of government, subject to public whim and will.  By and large, we have the kind of schools that people want. While they acknowledge the need for improvement, in other people's schools, most American are reasonably content with their own.
--Former public school superintendent Ronald J. Perry, 1992.

Same to you, starry-eyed pirate!  ::rainbow::

The right of self-defense is the first law of nature . . and when the right of the people to keep and bear arms is, under any color or pretext whatsoever, prohibited, liberty, if not already annihilated, is on the brink of destruction.
