Excuse me but...
« on: January 28, 2005, 10:25:00 PM »
Would you mind terribly if I start a thread that has nothing to do w/ music?

(my newyears resolution is to learn to act like a Canadian so I'll be able to travel abroad one day)

I do not consider it an insult, but rather a compliment, to be called an agnostic. I do not pretend to know where many ignorant men are sure.

Ok, thanks so much. But would it be a bother to you (mostly) gentlement if I were to listen to, say, some Floyd and some Satriani? Maybe some Tull and, oh what the heck, maybe some Three Dead Trolls In A Baggie?

Here's what I'd like to discuss. Lets have a game. This has to be on the honor system and no cheating or it wouldn't be fun at all. I wanna start a round of Name That Troll.

Post riffs and guess who it is. Course, I can't tell you if you're right or not, so it would really only be fun for me. But I wonder what everybody who's thinking thinks and you guys seem to do most of the thinking around here.

urgh!!!!!!!   I haven't thought of that place for many a year now.   I remember being packed like sardines during 1st and 2nd phase rap in the mornings.   I hated having to sit crossed legged on that nasty carpert, back straight, eyes forward, pay attention while that equally nasty helen petermann ran the show.  It amazes me to the is day that green is my fav color.  Any way, that was a blast to a piece of my whacked life I could have done w/out.

Wouldn't bother me at all, but I don't see how this would help with the Canadian thing...

Some guitar player once scorned my Joni Mitchell as "a buncha whiny girlsongs"

The drummer came to my defense and said "Yeah, but you secretly like Gordon Lightfoot."

Busted!

So that's a no, then?

Look, I'm not looking for you to name people by real names. Laws no! I hope you never thought that of me. Just see if you can attribute anon trolls to usernames.

I'm looking for a much needed reality check here. I have a pretty good idea who's who cause I can check IP addresses and look at anon posts as a group. I'm trying to find out what everybody else really thinks is going on.

Or if you just skip it, tell me that.

There never was a good war or a bad peace.
