Tennessee Temple ...meaning, Tennessee Temple University?

I am assuming this University is a Fundamentalist Independant Baptist University?

Did Bob and Betty Wills go to be educated? or did they go as educators?

just a curious question.

thanks

I'm assuming they went to get educated. My roommate was talking about the Wills and how she wished they'd come back to the home because she said they were nicer than the Barnwells and I asked her what happened to them and she said they left to go to Tennessee Temple University. That was 1975.

wow, that is an astounding remark....
cause from all the testimonials about the Wills that i have ever heard, they were near monsters.

so if they were nicer than the Barnwells, i shudder  to think what the Barnwells were like..

That was the only time I heard anyone say anything about the Wills.I'm sure Mrs. Barnwell would have gotten very upset about anyone talking about them. She was like that.Maybe the Wills were different back then.I've also read some horror stories about them.I think Roloff required people to be monsters to work for him.

I have recently been going to a new church and I am so glad that I've finally found one.
After the experience that I haD AT THE HOME, I was a little scared that my new church might be "legalistic"-their word that kind of describes what we went through. After not really attending a Bible church in almost 15  years, being back has certainly stirred up some old feelings. My name is Kim and fortunatly I was only there 6 months when they blindfoled us and took us to a motel room where our parents showed up to get us. It was scary but it was a relief to leave. i was abused there! But I do believe that some good came out of it. I know in my heart that the Lord found me there. Not that I didn't know him before. Its hard to describe. But any way, I remember so much- Iwas beat every time, even if I didn't have any "marks" for not doing my chores properly. I slept in a cage bed for the length of my stay. I was treated like a slave. I was never trusted until near the end. it was horrible. I don't know why I'm sharing this, but its good to know that after all these years someone else still thinks about it too!

I feel sorry for them on judgment day.
Anyone that would beat kids and put them in cage beds, should be dealt with. If it was me I would lock them up like they did us, but I believe that when they meet their maker they will be punished for doing what all they did in the name of God.
I wonder if it angers God to be used that way.

Hi,I was not expecting for anyone to respond so quickly. Do you know how I can get more info about the Ruth Home? I don't quite know what I'm looking for. I found an article stating that one of the homes was being sued but ther was no info of the outcome.

I was there. This is Kim Finney, I shared a room with Tracy Ellis and Lori Loya. The scars have lived on. I was only 13 years old but I still have dreams that I ended up back there with no way of escape. I wonder what lied ahead for Aunt Dot. The evil prosonifide in sheeps clothes!
