I remember the hand signals....but no words. If we said ANYTHING it was talking out and grounds for an entire rip rap featuring you as the special guest.
I still sometimes catch myself doing the "no" signal alot. People just look at me funny.
Clicking (sp) was defined by making the hands into two fists and rubbing the knuckles against each other in an up and down motion. And then there was the endless finger flicking to get someones attention.
"Get out of your head " was another one....fingers all pointing towards the front of your head and then pulled away with a popping sound.
The only real sound that came close to a word was "pssst"....used to get someones attention, usually accompanied by frantic finger flicking. If you got a "psst" it was important.
Also, all the upper phasers who answered our raised hands would ask if it was a DIRE EMERGENCY before they let you talk. It was hilarious to watch some of the people headgame out trying to decide if they were being honest or not about the DIRE EMERGENCY.
In war, the stronger overcomes the weaker. In business, the stronger imparts strength to the weaker.
