For true stories on programs for "troubled teens" and or "struggling teens" out of country, wants to know what they are like, what oversight if any, the horror stories.  If you are intersted post your email address here with a bit of your story.  This is the only way we can change things....for the better, parents need to wake up.

Ok, so I was a "student" at Tranquility Bay in 1999 for about 6 months... I was then sent to Spring Creek in Montana... Spring Creek was alright... I actually liked it (compared to TB)... Tranquility Bay on the other hand is horrible... Yes kids got beat there almost everyday...not everyone, but a good amount...and yes everyday... I personally had to lay on my face for five days straight... no mats on the floor... just a hard tile floor... We were allowed up to eat and sleep at night and that was it... If we moved we would be hurt... I saw two kids while I was in OP (Observation Placement) getting beat... One because he had a cast on his leg and told staff that he couldn't close his legs together...so they made him... the other because he was refused water, so he got up and punched the staff member at which point we were escorted out of the room and heard him screaming for about 2 hours... horrible screams... you would hear the screaming everyday for prolonged periods of time... They would dislocate your shoulder so as not to leave any marks... I didn't get to talk to my mom until 3 months.. it was bad

You poor thing.  Email your stories to me at parforres1@aol.com and if you want to talk to this guy from the Wall Street Journal include your contact information and on the email state please forward to WSJ contact in subject tag.
Thanks your stories can help end these horrific awful abuses.  I am the Mom of a girl now 22 was formerly in residential hell in MA, raped, abused, it was terrible it is now closed down but we turn to people for help for our children and it is the worst betrayel when these things happen.  Hope to hear from you soon....

Don't want to seem paranoid but it's not a good idea to post your email address.  At the very best it will invite spam.  Programs (and I am thinking in particular of WWASP post-Casa) use this technique to trawl for dissaffected parents so they can get their lawyers to write threatening letters to them or slap them with injunctions before they can speak out.

If Anon 1 is kosher he/she can post their own email address (if they have a good spam filter) which is recognisable as a newpaper.  They could also post the name of the paper, a physical address, a listed phone number and the name of the reporter.

As for parforres1@aol.com, who are you?  Not the original poster apparently.

And another thing: who said anything about the WSJ?  Anon 3, what is your connection to Anon 1?

And I am Kosher as well as Jewish.  I have no problem posting my email, I also have no problem telling the truth.  I did and my child was in a residential school in MA that was horrific, just rampant with abuses.  Well the former CEO is out of state now, and the whole agency is dismantled.  The truth is the truth, and they can try whatever they want to shut you up, if they bring it into the courts, then it is even more scrutiny on them, as it will be public records.  Also FYI if anyone has filed complaints against any provider with any public agency that too is public record.
