I lost a few shingles, a tree limb and a lanai screen ("lanai" is Floridian for "screened-in-patio" in the rest of the United States). My first reaction was "Ah, shit, look at that..." and then I thought about all those people who lost their homes or, worse, loved ones.
I patched my shingles, dragged my tree limbs and debris to the curb, and am working on the screen.
I feel very fortunate, living in Fort Myers.
