No. I quit posting on this thread out of respect for Steve. Perhaps we could carry on our conversation in another location, or by pm.

I was in Straight from november 86 to May 87 I remember

Fred and Carla,
Scott Ward,
Andrew Bell,
Joe and Amy Theismann,
Eric with the spiked up mohawk.

I was really quiete back then, SCARED off my ass to be there.  That place really sucked!  I am sober today though, thru AA, and lovin' it.

Remember that kid Emmanuel Lewis who was bustin' everyone up, and that big dude Jack.  Can't really remember many names just can picture the face.  What were the couselors names

Steve Turney?
??Guggliota
Big guy Rob,
Mr. Kelliher,
??Profit
Chris?? (long hair dude)

I remember that guy Mike who was on 5th phase and got started over for breaking confidentiality, and then graduated.
Anyone with more names please refresh my memory.
Unless you are scared to break confidentiality ::boohoo::

We are the fired up the....

Did she have dark brown hair light complected with som freckles?

Don't be sorry that I am "still hitting the 12 steps"  I need them.  My life has completely turned around cuz of AA.  However I got sober when I was ready, and AA is a totally different philosphy than Straight was.  They say if you don't want to get sober, don't worry you wont.

Straight was just a bad system at trying to get people sober who did not want to be sober.  I am sure the stories are true that they really fucked some people's heads up.  That place sucked, but it is over, and the ones who want to blame straight for all their problems need to move on.

I do not feel bad about saying names, unless someone specifically asks me not to use theirs anymore, then I wont out of their wishes.  Sounds like they did a good job of brain-washing you with the confidentiality rule.  In actuality that only applies to doctor-patient relationships, since I am not or never was staff, IT DON"T APPLY!!!

No, but maybe there are those who went through the hell hole that would rather that little nugget of info remain private, just as in AA.  Shouldn't they be afforded the same courtesy as your AA buddies?
