Drew, you left elan 2 days after I got there. I've heard many good things about you, and lots of staff and students were sad to see you go. But you left when Mitch was at his worse. And he didDo alot of pretty terrible things while I was at Elan, however I never oncetreated him like an animal, as most of the other students did, and he never once said or did anything hurtful  to me. It kinda shows how skewed even some of "the best" staff members are.  To post on a message board that you HATED a 13 year old boy?  When you were what somewhere in your 30's?  That shows that Mitch probably got worse at elan because of the way staff fucked with him.  Hey you had all this ultimate say over what happened to him, and you HATED him?  I bet this means that all of his punishments while you were working were very acurate. I hope you understand sarcasm.  Maybe you should call mitch or get a hold of him.  He's brilliant, and finishing his university. He has turned into a very handsome man and will most likely be doing something a little bit better with his life that rening smelly ski boots to people.  So Mr. Beverly Hills 90210, sounds like you like to live in the past.  Sad to hear a staff say they HATED students, but what else can I expect from someone who made a living torturing 13-16 year olds.  Oh Drew... always wish I had known you, but you sound just like a whiny kid. Move on.  Oh by the way can I rent a size 9?

pretty sad that you believe you have the right to speak about one of the most influential people in Elan never even knowing him. Drew was an awesome man, great staff, and kick ass soccer coach. Im just sorry you never got the opportunity to know him. I wasnt there for Mitch, but I was there for Drew. I also know that hate is a word oftenly used to express a thought. In in a forum as explicit as this, sometimes it takes a word as strong as that to get a point across. Please....talk about people that you know, not those you dont. You never know when you might strike the right chord. Even good guys have bad days

Chrysta, I don't think anyone was talking about you.  I also think Drew is man enough to share his own thoughts on this subject of working for a troubled youth school and instead of embracing a troubled student he decided to give up on him and HATE him.  No one like that should ever work about children.  So Chryta say what you want, but hopefully this "man" can talk for himself. Unless you have been appointed his number one wingman.  :wstupid:

I was there for Drew, Mitch, Chrysta, and way too many other people who came and went. I've kinda given up on trying to figure out why people rip on Marc. He was tough to get along with and hard to understand. If you could figure out why he did the things he did, you could realize how much he actually did give a shit. That's what caused us to become such good friends.

Drew, I never got to talk to much. When I did, it wasn't usually for very long, but I always appreciated it. Drew was the kinda guy who (it seemed to me) like to remain as laid back as possible but would unleash hell when forced to.

As far as the guy who split on Drew, I too have a speculation...

Drew was a staff, this kid was a student, Drew became friends with him and believed he would have a better chance at success with a home visit as was probably stated by the kid. When he split, he screwed Drew not because Drew would've gotten in trouble or because Drew was his SP, but because Drew had kinda trusted him as a friend and the kid had screwed him in that way.

I was sad to see Drew go and am happy to hear he's doing well. Coz, I haven't talked to you in forever, where are you and how are you doing? Chrysta, I haven't talked to you since you left, what're you up to?

I'm still tired and hung over from camping outside Fenway for opening day tickets... time for a nap.

Ginger, you always try to be above it all.  Why is that?  I personally loved Drew and respect him very much. Move on.

you don't have to be callous, but care is one thing you do have to do... so, for some of you, you can rip on staff all you want... but i agree with this poster... a lot of fucked up shit happened in elan, i won't deny that... but if you were there after the 90s, then you are over reacting... everyone has a past... everyone on this site has a past...

for me personally, you can think what you want about me as well... you can think i snorted coke with rowe, you can think that i was a liar, or an ass kisser... but i can't recall a staff that did half the shit i did for the kids, and it wasn't for my own personal satisfaction, because working 90 hours a week for a shit 20,000 a year is not satisfying...

seeing someone have hope who never had it or seeing someone get their shit together, that is satisfying... and if you think that i worked there for any other reason than that, then you are just as moronic as your post reveal you to be... more importantly, i spent time with staff and directors... and i personally know how much they stressed about the kids... so, figure out what you're talking about before you say it...

more importantly, bash me all you want on this site, you simply prove my point...

Drew was a heck of a soccer coach!! I had so much fun playing soccer, I haven't played since I left Elan. that was a long time ago. But I brag about being good, hahah!! the field was so small compared to a real soccer field, and we were like 15 or 16!!
