how much do you people really think the president has to do with the economy as opposed to, i don't know; the federal reserve, the US congress, budget commitees, etc... he plays his part, but the economy can't be blamed or credited to one man. TRUTH; clinton got the american economy running very good. TRUTH; he did leave it in bad shape when he left. TRUTH; george bush had to pick up clintons pieces; TRUTH; right now, our country is in the best period of growth in 20 years.
I don't get why everyones bashing anyone for this. the AMERICAN ECONOMY is based on the godamn AMERICAN PEOPLE. when they work, and buy things, and support the capitalist system.
However, in our two party system, as a general rule, heres how it is.
-Republicans favor less government, and more tax cuts = tax cuts go back to the people (giving us back our own money :flame: wtf) = people spend more of their money if they have more, making economy stronger.
*however, per capita, this DOES benefit the rich people on an unequal scale
-Democrats favor more social programs, which works (or so they claim) to lift the lower classes out of their rut, and bring them up to social and economic equality. however, their money comes out of our money, and the rich peoples money, which should make everyone except the poor pretty angry about having their money taken. (which anyone should recognize as 'communism lite')
besides my stupid opinions, which are in quotations, thats the american econo-polit situation, which is pointless to argue about, because it so godamn up and down anyway. and the people complaining about no work, unemployment is (this is not my opinion, this is a fact, you can find these figures anywhere, and i can find you a link if you don't believe me) dropping like a stone, which would make me feel awful envious of everyone else whos getting them.
just my two cents, i have been wrong on occasion
