Looking for "records"
« on: October 21, 2002, 10:51:00 PM »
I called the courthouse.
They told me to call the school board.
The school board told me to call BILL ZOLLAR from L.I.F.E. Sarasota (I will post his # here later)
Bill Zollar gave me the email address ant telephone number and told me to call Ms Pete (i will post THAT # here later also)
I told Bill Zollar that I was only interested in finding my records. He told me Ms Pete has them in her possesion.I told Bill that I was uncomfortable talking to her because I was physically attacked by her when I was a child.Bill Zollar laughed and said:"you probobly deserved it".
This was my first attempt to locate any records of my involuntary placement in to LIFE.

Send her a registered noterized letter requesting any and all documents regarding you taht are in her possession. Send copies of the letter to the district attorney where she lives and where you live.

If she fails to respond, contact the ACLU in your area and show them copies of the letters you sent and ask them to help you in aquiring your own medical records.

If you still can't get copies, ask a medical doctor to make a request.

contact the people at refocus.org and ask them if they have any other suggestions, they might be able to refer you to a therapist who specializes in cultic issues who can make the request directly to Mrs. P and who can contact licensure boards if she fails to provide the records. You can also file a complain with the licensure board for whatever degree/license that she holds- most likely a LCSW or LMFT.

The law is on your side here, though it may be that only another therapist will be sucessful.

Finally, this is really not a 'testimony' and as such would get more traffic and support if you post it in another area.
