Does anyone know if there is any conclusive evidence of cell phones potentially causing brain cancer?? A while back, there was something about this in the news...

I don't know if there's conclusive evidence or not. I'm sure some people claim there is, and they might be right. But the communications industry is a 500lb gorilla who does not want that kind of bad PR.

I do know this, though, it's probably a bad idea to put your head very close to any device that generates microwave energy. That's why I've never had a cell phone and probably never will.

I believe that the evidence was conculsive and that there was a reccomendation to use the hands free and they said the further away the antennae were the better.

I still use mine and it has a built in nokia antenna but well oh well one worry at a time.

In all history, there is no instance of a country having benefited from prolonged warfare. Only one who knows the disastrous effects of a long war can realize the supreme importance of rapidity in bringing it to a close. It is only one who is thoroughly acquainted with the evils of war who can thoroughly understand the profitable way of carrying it on.

The greater danger than some disease is the danger cell phone users on the highway pose to the other drivers in close proximity to the cell phone using driver.

Another peril is the cell phone user at dinner with his/her family that gets 12 calls during a meal. Is this the way to have quality time with your mate and kids?

Furthermore, another outright obnoxious habitual cell user trick is to initiate a call during a dinner date at the local eatery. The the "user" (sounds like and addict doesn't it) then begins to speak much more loudly then he/she would normally speak in a regular conversation. To make it much worse, is the "user" often discusses personal or business matters so loudly everyone in the place knows the facts before the "user" is done.

Yes, microwaves may kill you, but cell phone abuse is a debilitating trend that causes people to be unsociable, inconsiderate and downright dangerous in traffic. Inconsiderate at eateries and other public places.

It should be a house policy that cell phones are to be put on silence during meals, and calls only returned after quality family time. Diners and other eateries should eject habitual cell phone users that seem to always allow thier phone to ring as many times as possible, complain it's ringing and then answer the phone loudly and talk too long about too much personal stuff.

America was a better place before it was flooded with cell phones!
