a quote from the 70's:
this is how Elan was viewed in the 70's by folks living near the school. From the Maine sunday telegram.
"We feel these people( the elan staff)have come from out of state to make alot of money on human beings, and their ruining our town.  Its not that were against rehabilitation.  Were against letting any lousy organization have any kid."
Suprising all the controversy in the 70's ended and you dont hear much after them.  They knew then that elan was horrible, why did they stop?

Good question Mike being there in the 70's I too would like to know. I got a feeling money might have played a big role in all the cover-ups at Elan damn sure would like some answers.
