Anybody from St.Pete in the 80s remember Kevin Lowe.  He was a power crazed Sr. Staff member when I was there.  Any word as to what he is doing now?

Yep, I remember him.  The last I heard was years ago.  He was with Kelly Dorsey (skinny, had a brother Alan, I think).  They went off the deep end in some freako fundamentalist church.  Surprise...another cult!!

I remember a lot of shit that he did but one of the worst was to Mike R*ss*.  The kid was 13 and evidently did something to piss Kevin off.  Kevin picked Mike up by the throat and held him up against the wall with Mike's feet OFF THE GROUND UNTIL HE PASSED OUT!!!!!  Then Kevin just dropped him to the ground.  Sadistic asshole.

I also remember that stupid saying "step out" when he was trying to make us line up for dismissal faster.  It used to piss me off, don't know why.

Marijuana clearly has medicinal value.
Thousands of seriously ill Americans have
been able to determine that for themselves,
albeit illegally. Like my own family, these
individuals did not wish to break the law but
 they had no choice.

I remember him....what an asshole.  He would always go off rants about what an acidhead he was and how he was into the occult.  I remember one rap where he was talking about what a druggie he was before coming to Straight, and how he would to Tarot readings and the more he got into drugs, "eventually the cards didn't make any sense...That's how I know I'd be dead if it weren't for Straight".  Comforting, thinking how a psycho like that had power over my life for a year.

William Rollins was on Senior when I came in.  He and Kevin were the worst guy staff when I came in...others were "up" to their level of abuse when I left...Steve Mead (in prison now),

William's wife Alice was pretty merciless with me...and many others from what I've heard.  Kim Bradley made my life HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I got to agree--I particularly hate William.  Asshole sent me to an intake room once for doing nothing--I was complying and listening to the rap.  Maybe I wasn't "motivating" hard enough for him.  Anyway, William, Bruce Stanton, Todd Toth, some other Toth, and a couple of other guys beat the shit out of me, Bruce bravely kicked me in the crotch while my arms were restrained, and William, after coming in to check on the proceedings, grabbed me by the hair andyanked out a nice little chunk.  Iwas beaten and tortured fort hours.  Ruthie even came in and looked, commenting, "I don't know why you do this to yourself....this isn't a concentration camp"-- yep she used those words.

So Steve Meade is in prison?  What's the story?  He made SR. Staff when I was there and he was about at the level of William and Kevin by the time I got out.  He used to single me out for some shit, too, until I had a hearing where they tried to get me court-ordered.  Amazing how the abuse let up for a week before I went in front of the judge.

Let's not forget Roger Amundsen--I saw him bravely take on some 90lb. 13-year old kids on a number of occasions. I think him, William Rollins, Kevin Lowe , and Steve Meade hold the title for Most Psycho Guy's Staff while I was there, and for Girl's Staff I think the lovely Alice Rollins and the charming Kim Bradley would be hard to beat.  Of course this list is in no way conclusive, etc.........

Does anyone remember Erin and Chris Connor??  They weren't on staff.  As I remember it they got a lot of shit from the Newtons...not sure though, I could be thinking of someone else.  Both had dark hair...Erin's was really long.

With sunlight in her hair she smiles like she don't care
Her dreams are liquid blue
I cut myself again and again to remind myself of you

That when I look at these posts, I get sad when I hear about stuff that happened to some kids when they got out of straight, but it makes me feel good when I hear about some asshole former staff member that isn't doing so well.  I read on another board some guy's theory on why Sr. staff members go off the deep end after straight--how once they get out in the real world no one gives a flying fuck that they held a position of power in some obscure weirdo cult, how they can't just confront people doing stuff they think is wrong, etc.  I really don't care about the reason, I just think it's funny when those assholes from staff get the karma for what they did.

William, unfortunately, lives directly behind me.... One canal over...it's taken everything I have not to go over and cause one of the biggest scenes EVER.....but I won't.  Just waiting for the right time when a bunch of us will be able to "confront" him the SAME SADISTIC way he confronted us. ::armed::  ::argue::  :smokin:  :smokin:

That little twit?  He was a classic case of 'lil man syndrome'.  Once he got a little power it went right to his head.  Reserve me a space for the confrontation.  I heard he got divorced from that sow he married, Alice.  Both of those creeps disgust me.  Is William doing gay porn these days?
