The Alberta Adolescent Recovery Centre, nee Kids of the Canadian West, continues to operate in the same industrial park setting where it has conducted affairs since it's inception.  Oddly, for me, it occupies the former shop and offices of a geophysical exploration company for whom I worked not long before AARC set up shop next door.  The seismic outfit had changed hands and names, known as ARCIS before AARC took over the digs.  The honcho of ARCIS was an AARC parent.  I digress.  Despite the fact that last I heard AARC was down to 30-odd clients, the former seismic shop and warehouse each bear the names of prominent Calgary "philanthropists", McCaig and Markin.  The McCaig Centre is named for the McCaig family, the dowager empress of which, Ann, continues to preside as chair of AARC's board.  The Markin centre is named for this guy:
