17 year old boy gunned down
« on: November 04, 2012, 03:05:13 AM »
The police finds an abandoned car. They call for backup and cops from no less than two counties enter the house where a 17 year old boy lives. He was surprised by a party breaking down his door and approach them with a knife. He is shot and dies.

We have learned that the boy had a record and was in need of treatment, but the only treatment he got was juvenile hall.

It is sad and tragic for the relatives left behind.

Stafford Man Killed in Officer-Involved Shooting
--------------------------------------------------------
Authories say a Stafford County deputy was stabbed during an altercation that led to the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old boy early Friday.

The incident began when police received a call about around 4 a.m. about an abandoned car near the Stafford/Fauquier county line.

When deputies arrived, they found an empty Hyundai sedan in a ditch at the intersection of Aquia and Tackett's Mill roads. The investigation led deputies to a home in the 12300 block of Tacketts Mill Road, about a quarter mile away.

There, officials say, some type of altercation occurred. Authorities say the teen had a knife, and an officer was wounded. That's when police opened fire, killing him.

Neighbors in the rural area say that traffic accidents are common at that intersection, but a shooting is unheard of there.

The teen was identified as 17-year-old Evan F. Newsom of Stafford.

Virginia State Police are continuing to investigate.
