Oh, The memories....
« on: August 29, 2003, 02:00:00 PM »
I just read through some posts on this site, I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I remember the "strip search" and the questionaire they asked me. "Have you ever had sex with animals?" I was horrified. Oh, and being introduced to the group while someone had the back of my pants. Seeing all the kids with the arms in the air going wild, I thought I walked into some epileptic circus. I remember thinking to myself "OH SHIT" I never made it out of phase 1, hell I didnt even get T&R. I "copped out" just after christmas, jumped from a bus and thumbed to my "druggie friends" house. My parents sent me back the next day when they found me. Friday night review was all about me!  I'll never forget sitting in Friday night review, and I got my period. I was in white cotton pants. I sat there with my hand extended waiting for some 5th phaser to come up to me. After about an hour of waiting, meanwhile bleeding, a 5th phaser askes me what my problem is. I tell her "I have my period and need to use the bathroom" Well, that bitch stood me up in the middle of review and gave me a verbal beating. I had such NERVE to ask to use the bathroom during a review. After about 30 mins of that, they let me go, but made me sit in the soiled underwear and pants for the rest of the night. It was so humiliating. I'll never forget it. I'd love to see some of those 5th phasers now.
Well, this is a great site, and thanks for letting me share.

PS Does anyone have serious back problems from the CONSTANT dragging of knuckles down their spine??

 Does anyone remember the "7 consequences" I remeber the toilet paper one, and the one where you had to ask for permission to move any part of your body.

Hello, and welcome to the board. I was in Va straight from 82-85 (right after it split off from st. pete..)
This must have been St. Pete straight where this stuff you refer to happened. Also, I'm guessing that it was you who posted anon at the start of this thread? Pardon me for my lack of verbosity, but it's been a long day. Hang tight, it's always the hardest in the beginning. Stay with us, it will get better. (if I hadn't said this, someone would have sooner or later, lol)

Thanks for the welcome, I was so happy when I stumbled onto this site out of pure dumb luck. I never thought to do a "search" on Straight until recently.
I wasnt in St.Pete, I was in Stoughton Mass, and I remember a camera crew coming in to do some sort of story on us. I wish I could find that video link. I'm thinking it was on a teen rap TV show of some kind, my memory is so foggy. I think I've blocked out alot of my time there, but reading some of the posts have dusted off my memory. Not sure if thats a good thing or not. The consant anxiety I felt, and still deal with today. I hope I can find some others from Stoughton, I'd love to hear how they are doing.

Youthquake!!!!!

puke!!!!!

I was in there at the same time as you then. They pulled all the misbs out of the "show" so that everyone would look all programmed as hell and happy to be there.

You remember Rob Crane? Obie Arthur? Kit? Kale Tom Sewell Garrett? Rob Goulett? Leslie A. I had a lot of contact w/ 5th phase guys because they watched me alot lol!! As horrible as it is I remember seriously punching poor Tom Sewell I wonder if he ever made it to graduation.

Julie Tate do you remember her. Holy shit! Her and I fought all through books onetime and no one came to see what was going on. Mrs Gear, Boyle grrrrrr I am getting pissed just thinking about them.  :flame: Where are they now I wonder?? hmmmm
