I haven't been to Ft. Meyers in a very long time. The hottest spot I know of is the Thomas Edison Museum. Not very hot. It's a stifflingly quiet, conservative retirement area for the most part. And you don't FUCK with Collier County law enforcement! Not in the least! They have their sense of humor surgically removed as a condition of employment.

But at least the weather will probably be nice.

A wise and frugal government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another; shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement

Ft. Myers is actually in Lee County. Collier is a bit more south, in Naples. At any rate you should always stay reserved when dealing with South Florida law enforcement.

Lee County is named after confedrate general Robert E. Lee. There is still a statue of him across the street from the court house. I think it is to let you know who runs that part of the south.

Lee county is also the home of the Outreach program which was a spin-off from Ms. Pete's LIFE program.

I stand corrected.

If you believe that people cannot be trusted to govern themselves,
then can they be trusted to govern others?

Phone books?  Interesting weapon.  In New York, they just shove broken broomsticks up your ass or shoot you 41 times.

Nevertheless, I like New York city cops, for the most part.  It's the suburban ones who are assholes.

Oh yeah... and if they're thick ones, you can probably get some severe blunt force trauma going on.

Damn, I need to move down south and study these things.  "OH I WISH I WAS IN DIXIE!!!"
