Brian Dodd: Straight Survivor or Phoney Baloney?
« on: September 08, 2011, 01:25:34 PM »
Can anyone here verify BD's time at Straight inc? At this point I am assuming that he never spent even a day at one of the Straight bldg's. His fixation with Straight survivors seems to come from a mental illness and not any legitimate concern for others. He has done alot to try and harm the Straight survivor "community". Why would anybody who was really there do anything like that? Answers anyone?

Not sure, but I think someone did say they remembered Brian from their time in. Regardless, I believe him. I think he's just one of the walking wounded, that's all. As a class, we are some fucked up cup cakes. Try to understand and not condemn, please.

Alex Dodd was in Straight, but not with me.GW,I try hard not to condemn, but his antics pointed in the direction of other survivors really pisses me off to say the least. We are all damaged goods, but we can choose not to be horse's butts.

People, lets get straight to the point.  You guys have a history of fixating on staffers and not taking responsibility for your actions.  After all, you guys weren't innocent before you were sent to a program.

Actually I was pretty innocent prior to going to straight.  Smoked a little grass and thats about it.   Maybe needed some help, but certainly didn't need straight.

Yep. I was pretty innocent before I was sent to Hyde. Hadn't ever smoked a cigarette, nor even had a drink, let alone further explorations in altered states. I was pretty young back then, all things considered.

And yet, somehow, while at Hyde, I was persuaded into going to a few AA meetings held in nearby downtown Brunswick. I was told it would be "good for me." Lollll.

In retrospect, it was actually rather informative. I learned that half the verbiage we were beleaguered with, especially during seminars and school meetings ... came straight outta AA. Go figure.

Some transference on the part of the school founders and staff, perchance? :D

Even if he is in an idiot this is sound advice.
