I am a freelance writer in St. Petersburg and have become fascinated (and VERY disturbed) by the stories I have heard on here. When I was a kid buying Reebok Pumps and rap tapes in Tyrone mall some of you were enduring "rap" sessions and attempting to get far away from anywhere NEAR that mall! Needless to say it has made me appreciate the childhood and teenage years I had here in sleepy St. Pete.
I have seen the previews for the forthcoming documentary but I would like to put something in print.

I'm also doing HEAVY digging through any docs I can get my hands on re: Semblers-> Straight ->DFAF. Kind of looking to do some anecdotal parts and lots of informational parts (helps fuel the outrage).

Anyway....really interesting that all of this stuff is surfacing now after all these years. Hard to believe so much of this happened right in my backyard!
