UPDATED 12-9-03. I have received much correspondence on this post. Let me make the following updates: a major law firm has reviewed the straight story and is extremely interested in talking to anyone who has a story to tell about their experiences at straight(as I understand it any straight, from any state). Actually, I do not know what their intent is for a law suit, a claims bill, or what. I do know that they have requested that they be made anonymous for the time being. I do not know why they want it that way, but that is their request. I have been asked whether if you do not make the florida meeting you will be out of any possible future action. I can not yet answer that. Many have written me to say they can't make it to florida, especially on so short of notice and right at Christmas. This is the time they have come up with.
This firm is the first major law firm that seems to have shown a genuine interest of the plight of straight survivors, therefore I again encourage anyone who can attend, attend.

Straight is a criminal activity, beyond even criminal child abuse. Melvin Sembler should be in prison for his role in it, but he will never go to jail. Instead he is ambassador to Italy. He should appologize for what he did to you, but he will never do that. He should have to pay for what he has done.
Through the years I have had scores of emails and telephone conversations from former students at Mel Sembler's experimental rehab scam. You have asked me if you could sue. Many of us have had conversations and meetings with attorneys over the years. And though no one doubts that Straight has intentionally abused kids and caused many of you lasting and permanent suffering, no law firm has wanted to get involved in a legal proceeding because of the statues of limitations.
But a telephone call early this morning has changed all that. A very MAJOR law firm has studied the story for several months. They want to talk to YOU. THIS IS IT. If ever there has been an oportunity to make those responsible pay for what they have done, now is the time. Go to
