Great, then you can stop asking.  I can't understand why you kept asking if you already got an answer.  There's a whole separate thread on the rape anyway.  Let's move on.

I noticed the report never used the word "student" or "school" either.  The reports indicate that RCS markets itself falsely as a "school" with "students," but they are a "CCI" with "residents."  I wonder why RCS would market itself falsely like that?

RCS is not recognized by the state of Georgia as a private school nor is it considered licensed by the state as a school; it is considered a child caring institution. Parents need to know this so they can make an informed decision before placing their child there. The fact that RCS is permitted to call itself a "school" is very questionable to me.

Whooter - if you question this call the school board yourself. They'll confirm the facts for you.

It is called  "Ridge Creek School"  and is recognized under that name by the state of Georgia.  I will need to go with that,  if the state makes them drop the school off of their name then I think we can all call it something different, but for now we need to call it what it is.  Even DJ calls it "Ridge Creek School" in his thread headers.

...

So you agree that the term "school" is just a term and does not really hold any real credibility because the state of Georgia has not licensed or recognized RCS as an institution of learning?

Thank you, Guest3, for pointing out this false advertising.  RCS is a registered "Child Caring Institution" according to state records.  They are not recognized as a "school" either private or public by state authorities.  Thank you for this insight.

Further discussion of this topic should be carried out here.

The DHS reports refer to the facility as "RIDGE CREEK, INC."

So the state recognizes them as a corporation, not a school.  Whooter has his facts wrong there.  Surprise, surprise.  Lols.

RIDGE CREEK SCHOOL, AKA RIDGE CREEK, INC., AKA MOUNTAINBROOK ACADEMY-RIDGE CREEK, INC., ETC.

UNDER RIDGE CREEK, INC.  REGISTERED AS A TITLE IV

PARENTS OF NON-ADJUDICATED CHILDREN NEED TO UNDERSTAND THE RAMIFICATIONS OF THE PLACEMENT OF ADJUDICATED CHILDREN WITH NON-ADJUDICATED CHILDREN.

IN JULY 2010 ORS SITE REPORT, RCS STATED - CURRENTLY NO CHILDREN AND DID NOT EXPECT START UP TO BE UNTIL SPRING 2011, YET THE ORS STATES 64 CHILDREN.

Neatly done.  This case is closed.  RCS is in no way legally recognized as any sort of school - public, private, charter or special purpose.  Whooter got caught perpetrating yet another fraud while promoting RCS.

Let this be a lesson to you, parents, RCS and its lackeys will say anything to get their hands on your wallet, but you need to look into their claims because they are specious almost 100% of the time.

If you think this to be true then change the forum name to "Ridge Creek Inc.".  But since everyone here calls it Ridge Creek School then that is what it is  a "school".  Ask Psy to change the title to Ridge Creek Inc. , if you like, and then maybe the readers will believe your sincerity.  But you can t expect people to believe it is not a school when you yourselves call it one here on fornits all day long.  lol

Ridge Creek School takes criminal and disturbed kids.  It says it's a school just like the ones you are talking about.  They will generally take any kid whose parents can pay.

I think the state defines them as taking mentally disturbed kids.  Even the kids whose parents pay out of pocket are violent offenders.  They recently had two girls who attacked a staff person, stole a car etc.  There are many programs which will not take these kinds of kids.  Places like this need to allocate more towards security and less towards academics if this is the type of kids they are going to attract.

...
:flip: flip :flip: flop

Whooter now admits what he adamantly denied yesterday.  Thought you folks would like to know he conceded the argument.  He goes on to say that even the kids sent there by their parents are also violent and disturbed criminals.  Sounds pretty unsafe and dangerous to me.

This is already debunked in this thread.  Guest3 should be aware that starting multiple threads of the same subject is a violation of the forum rules.
