In Australia there are more suicides over the christmas season than any other time. That is quite telling I think. There is so much pressure attached. I always feel especially sad for those who are incarcerated over christmas even those who are legitimately behind bars. to think of a kid in that situation is heartbreaking. There is a christmas song by paul kelly that talks about being behind bars at christmas, it has become something of a carol here.

Well, tell your wife that it's extremely common that 'da da' comes first.  It's easier to say.  Sorry, don't mean to burst your bubble but Mommy needs to know.  ;)

Technically speaking, from a linguistics POV, the bilabial nasal sound "m" (as in mama) is easier to articulate than the alveolar fricative sound "d" (as in dada) due to the lingual complexity of the tongue's interaction with the alveolar ridge (right behind your upper front teeth).  But, hey, whatever makes moms feel good is just fine with me!

Sorry it has taken me a while to respond to my own post I started. I have recently been preoccupied by someone in my life that will hopefully help make a Christmas that will help make what the holiday all about. She has pretty much consumed my time and has taken my mind away from the past for a little while which is a blessing. As many of you know I hate this time of year but maybe this is a blessing in disquise. For once I want to spend it with people who appreciate me and wants to really want to make a "Merry Christmas" with me... Well gotta go... Being summond by my significant other.. Peace and much healing my family..

What a fucking Christmas present... I just jot a job working on a casino boat worked 2 days then got let go because I had a DUI on my record... Well at least I do have a couple interviews this week... Merry Fucking Christmas Botched... Who am I trying to kid.... BA FUCKING HUM BUG....

It's not good to keep people out of work. I don't get why the DUI is preclusive unless the job entails driving. Is it Casino policy or arbitrary policy? I mean, I don't believe for one second the rest of casino folk haven't gotten a DUI.  Hell, I work with educators, and I know of four. One is a problem drinker but only takes cabs since DUI; the rest made bad judgment calls because they thought they were fine. But I don't know anyone from16-90 who hasn't driven under the technicality of a DUI at some point.  I'm not sure why a job would hold it against you if lesson learned.

Its fuckin ridiculous. Sorry Botched, that shit aint fair at all. I bet the drunk corporate basterds that set up that policy have a few DUI's in their closets too. Hope you score a new job soon man. Let us know.
